He-Man comes with removable chest armor with a pop out chest plate. Just snape in any one of the three chest plates to recreate the look of the spinning armor mechanism from the vintage toy. This toy does not feature a spinning tumble, but does include all three chest plates - standard, one smash, and my personal favorite, two smashes!
He also comes with his heroic Battle Axe just like in the famous painting of Battle Armor He-Man on top of Battle Cat.
Battle Armor He-Man goes on sale January 15th, only on MattyCollector.com. He is a "bonus" figure and is not included in the 2010 Club Eternia subscription.

OMG, I have that old vintage toy somewhere..... I'm glad Matty decided to get rid of the "spinning feature" (although that is cool in my book). I look forward to this... if I have any cash.

Nice bio, but did anyone else notice the typo on the back of the card?
"Real Name: Adam of the of House Randor"
Nice.
Anyway, I'm disappointed he only comes with his axe and not the sword, too. I think He-Man should always come with his Power Sword. Is Mattel skimping on us again? 'Cause I thought someone at SDCC said BA He-Man would have the sword...
And now it's time for a rant:
I despise He-Man's belt. I realize they probably wanted to tie the belt to the armor by adding red, but it looks bad. Why can't we get the most important character in the line colored properly? He didn't have brown boots or red spots on his belt or a belt (and now bracelets) that was brownish orange. We don't need a Marvel Legends style "real world" color scheme. The colors of the originals were just fine.

I don't know... if it was 100% faithful to the original - orange belt, red boots, flesh armbands, no highlights - I think it it would be way too plain, and these figures are already on the simplistic side, you know? I think they needed at least a minimal amount of updating.
On a related note, did you notice that Mattel changed the belt from how it was displayed at SDCC? The SDCC piece had a 2-tone orange belt, but the actual production piece seems to be orange with red highlights as you described. I think they should've kept the 2-tone orange to add a little variation from the standard He-Man release.

This is just like a statue. Actually the 200X statue looked a lot better than this even without the classic Battle damage counter feature! Mattel's genius once again at work!
The staction is pretty much badass incarnate, and it's borderline impossible to improve upon the look of that piece (aside from taking it as-is and simply adding articulation). But they're not gonna give us those super dynamic and ultra-realistic sculpts in this line. MOTUC is what it is, the 4H are doing a nice job when you consider the limitations being placed on them.

I don't want it exactly like the original, but why do they have to change it to this degree? Take Tri-Klops, for example. The original was green armor, black shorts and boots, and orange belt. So, MOTUC Tri-Klops has all those things, but with highlights and accents to update them while remaining faithful. Skeletor and Mer-Man are the same way, as are almost all the others.
He-Man, the most important character in the line, should get the same treatment instead of some unique, out-of-place color scheme.
And part of the reason BA He-Man looked so awesome at SDCC was the belt looked correct. Now BA He-Man doesn't look nearly as good because he looks exactly like the regular He-Man with different armor. So they even had something right and changed it back to something wrong IMO.
