This place needs a music tread. A place to talk about new bands, favorite songs, and music videos that make you want to PARTY! @band@ Thanks to You Tube, we can watch many of our favorite songs on video. However, You Tube has very little restrictions, so if you want to post a video here, make sure it is at least PG-13 with the profanity. I understand many rap songs smooth the profanity in with the lyrics so you really have to look for them. That's cool, I'm not knockin that, but if you blatantly post a N.W.A. video like "F*** The Police", not only would you be risk having the thread LOCKED or ERASED, but it ruins it for the rest of us. -_-

This thread is about asking other members about Music & Musical Art. ;)

This video was played constantly back in the late 80s, and it's still one of my favorite.

I assume this place will turn into the who the hell is that thread since my knowledge of music stopped in the early 90's when music died for me

I don't know about that, since they stopped making good videos back in the 90s.
I'm sure you remember this one.

That's a cool video. :) However, Sammy Haggar never really tripped it for me. David Lee Roth was the true voice for Van Halen.

Notice that is one of the first times we see Eddie Van Halen's personal Kramer Guitar. He electrical taped it up, cheesy yes, but now a replica of that Kramer sells for about $10K.

Hysteria is when they were becoming more refined. Anybody "cool" back then had a jean jacket with a back-sized Def Leppard patch sown on, along with about 50 MTv pins. Remember those? They were just 1" round pins with MTv logos on them in styles from tiger striped to space taste. You could only buy them at record stores.

This is my favorite song by these guys. The video isn't half bad either, especially for when it was shot. Some people go as far as saying it's the best sex song ever. Not obscene, just tastefully done.

I always imagined this song would have a cooler video than it did. Oh well, here it is. I'm sure you all recognize the song.

Just copy the link at the top of the page... it's not all that difficult... for example, if I wanted to put in a link to this page...

Just click the button after the underline button, to "Insert Link"... Link. Then paste the link in that box that pops up... then you can put a title in. Then that's it. Simple as pie. :D

When you get into the fast reply box, there are buttons for different things. 8 of them all together. 4th one in is the "Insert Link".. I'm talking about the boards here. YOu copy and paste the YouTube link.

The only way I know how to do it is to high-light the address bar of the page you want to post a link to. So while watching the video, high-light the address bar. Then go to the top of your screen where it says Edit,. While the address bar is still high-lighted, click on Copy.
Now at this point, you can go anywhere. Go back to the thread you want to post in, then where ever you want the link to appear in your post, go back to Edit, then Paste. I do it all of the time if I don't want to take the time looking back and forth when typing a difficult name, or to quote another source.

Now to have it say something else besides the address bar gibberish, that I don't know.
