Corgi James Bond Figures

A few months ago, TNI had a story that Corgi had picked up the licence for a wide array of Bond merchandise to coincide with Quantum of Solace....

Among the merchandise they had prototypes of a 5inch scale wave with figures from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace...

They look fantastic! Great sculpts and they are going to be articulated...

Does anyone know if these figures will make it to the USA, or are they just going to be in the UK?

I know Corgi's Golden Compass line was here in the states, so I hope Bond will make it to the toy shelves...

It's about time there is a mass market James Bond Toy line!

Extremely unfortunate; they did some really nice stuff with Harry Potter (and Golden Compass...despite the limited articulation). I was really looking forward to this line (especially since Bond has never really had much other than die-cast vehicles and high-end 1:6 scale fig.s), though I personally would have preferred 1:18 scale with some wicked vehicles. A bit off-topic, but I'm still pushing for a Bond line of Minimates since they have rights to MGM's catalog of movies; I think these would translate really well into some movie-specific boxsets. Bond definitely deserves some sort of figure representation!

Just posted this in the Imports section as well:

There may just be some hope for this line afterall:

"Popco was most known for their Golden Compass and Harry Potter figures. The Golden Compass figures were great, even if the movie didn't live up to the books, and the Harry Potter line was my favorite action figure line since Palisades' The Muppets. Then of course there were the James Bond line Corgi showed off at the UK ToyFair this year (which we understand should still come in 2009 under Master Replicas)."
