Author's newest note- This list is updated as of OCT. 7, 2006. I haven't updated it in over a month. The reason I am posting this is due to some sites (won't mention names, although I think you will figure out already) having these. I haven't looked at the Ebay auctions for over a month, due to my work conflicting. I posted this over the summer, but I cannot update. Feel free as you wish to add to the list. I will add them on. The stores with domains are not being accused, don't forget.

Note: This is from my own will to do this, so we can stop this nonsense of bootlegs. I have done this on my own will. A-F has a similar list to this. SOTA earns not a dime because of these sellers, therefore I must post them. Its your choice, really, but if you want to support SOTA so they can make more figures, do not bid on these sellers items.

Notes of detecting fakes:
The easiest way to detect a fake is basically looking if they have a Evil Ryu. If the packaging has "Evil Ryu", its safe. If its Ryu with a Evil Ryu in package, then its a fake. Also, Japanese packaging has been made for the SDCC grinning Evil Ryus, which are completely fake.

The SDCC Ryu is packaged into the "Evil Ryu" in White Ryu package, or the Japanese Evil Ryu packaging.

Careful of Asian sellers, mostly coming from Hong Kong or China.

Currently, there are no possible ways to detect a fake M. Bison, Ryu, or Sagat, however most of these sellers originate from HK or China.

Well guys, to be honest with u. I won a bootleg Sagat. It's not easy to tell the difference. It seems like the same thing. I dont have the original Sagat so I can't compare but a lot of fans (like me) áre really tempted to get the very hard to find ROund1 SF figures for a reasonal price.

I'm not suggesting people to buy bootlegs but neither will I yield to high priced figure either. For people that want's to get ROund1 figures, the only way u can check is the price and where its from. Mostly the Hong Kong and other parts of China sellers are sellin the bootleg figures.

I think that all the ones who has round 1 are fake. Toyrocket even has fake ones.


Heck, the ebay seller (gundamit) who I bought a set of real round 1 figures a year ago(before the bootlegs appear,) now sell bootlegs. You can tell since the ones he is now selling comes with the Japanese Evil Ryu with the SDCC parts as oppose to the normal single card Evil Ryu that mines had. Also, his auction has the normal and e. Ryu as oppose of e. Ryu and Sodom. Speakin of the american samurai, are there bootlegs of Sodom? He seems to be "rare" on ebay as in only american/canadian sellers are carrying him.

Maybe they didn't make bootlegs of him since he is desirable.

I am wonderin, are the sdcc two packs on ebay real? I only seen one with the sdcc sticker while the other auctions are missing it.

BTW, I seen series 2 of Jazwares Street Fighter. They look like Flea Market figures. LOL

I have a real Sagat in MOSC and may get a bootleg one (along with another real one since I plan to get the Ryu and Sagat set; I am missing Ryu and wouldn't want a bootleg one if his skin is painted as light as Ken's.)

If I do get a bootleg one, I will do comparsion pics. Honestly, I want to get a bootleg one so that I can repaint the yellow stripes red and wouldn't feel right painting a real one; I plan to have the one I own in mosc, open the two pack and bootleg, and repaint the bootleg with a darker skin color and with red stripes.

Mainly the bootlegs figures i've seen so far are Ryu,Sagat,Bison+evil ryu.
Those are the most wanted figures. Chun Li and Sodom are major left overs. even the real figures were sold cheap in Hong Kong around HK$50 like US$4-5 i guess? But the prices went higher now for some reason. Last time i check in Aug, they're goin for HK$90, US$11-12.
