I'm really glad they didn't throw in any really cool gimmicks here that would have made me think twice about passing up on these.
Apparently I'm still waiting for the ultimate version of Zartan with color change skin and a Serpentor done with more accurate colors.

Snake eyes in All Black: I can get this guy RIGHT NOW at Target, so why the hell would I get it at, presumbly, a higher price? Because of the packaging and the gold stand?
Zartan: He's, roughly, available right now WITH the Swamp Skier. THIS one comes with an extra mask. Wow.
Flint: Did they cancel that upcoming 5 pack? This Flint was one of the major reasons to even GET that pack.
Crimson Guard: This guy is a pegwarmer on the comic pack version. Anyone want one?
Cobra Viper: Same as Flint. Him (and the Baroness) are THE reason to get that 5-pack. So what the hell are they doing?
Beach Head: Comic pack with Mainframe. The one we can get right now comes with an extra head. THIS one has an additonal gun. Wow.
Storm Shadow in white: So, basically, we are getting a Storm Shadow with LESS detaling? WTF? Oh, well, nunchuks too.
B.A.T.: "Batte damage" and those plant things from the comic. At least its soomething new.
Firefly: Doesn't really say "Firefly" to me, but not bad. Probably the only one worth getting in this wave.
Snake Eyes and Timber: We just got his figure in the DVD pack. OH he comes with a new Timber. Whoopie. I wonder why they never gave any of the animals articulation. I mean Timber has had, what, 4 or 5 versions now?
I'm really disappointed. I mean, sure, we didn't expect much but the choices seem so odd, given that most of them are currently available already or will be in another form.
I mean Flint, Zartan, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes (including that Timber) will all be available in the box sets (along with Lady Jaye, Shipwreck, a new Polly, an Baroness), so why, really, would I want to get them here?
Because of the "packaging"?

its for the people that have to collect everything on single cards. you are right, most of them will be in the upcoming 5 packs. this is for the dopes that want fancy packaging for an extra 5 bucks.
hasbro doing the same crap they did with star wars, the votc figures. at least those came with an incentive like coins etc, this got nothing.
the only one i would remotely consider would be the bat but isn't there a regular (not hall of heroes packaging) battle damaged bat coming out with purple creeper vines?

benefit I see is a cheaper way to army build that Viper (as opposed to that 5 pack or the craptastic Viper 5 pack). And the B.A.T.
I think this is the only, current, versions of that B.A.T. coming out. But given that all the others are available in some other format, I won't be surprised if it is too.

Couldn't these voted for figures and the 2 new 5 packs i've been combined? Sure it would have pushed a few guys back awhile but not flint, stormshadow, the viper or Zartan. Also the recent single pack firefly could have been done away so we could have seen one of the displaced figures in it's spot.
We could have seen 2 5 packs: One consisting of SE v1 in all black w/ Beachead vs a Crimson Gaurd, Cobra Viper, and Bat. (the troops EXACTLY as released before)
the other with: Flint and Se w/ timber vs. ,SS , Firefly, Zartan This would paired an easy trooper builder pack, with a pack with very much desired corrections and a hard to find figure (zartan) They still could have had a logo on the two packs letting us know why we got them and gave us gold or silver stands for them. This would have saved a bundle in packaging and let these go to more audiences.
As for the changes on the figures, Firefly baffles me most of all, everyone's complaint as been the webgear, not that he ... looked like firefly before and shouldn't. Could have been an easy accessory fix, with the darker camo from the comic pack. The new lower legs aren't bad in theory though as they will make his legs look more in proportion. I think this guy does look like a great fig though. More like se minus visor to me.
I won't be buying, too expensive, and to redundant.

I'll grab a BAT for the battle-damaged head and maybe the Viper for his fixed wrists. The rest are all passes.

No such luck, I guess.
I'll be picking up the BAT and couldn't care less about the rest of these.
It just mystifies me. What do they think they're doing here? The voting for these figures was done online, so they MUST realize that the fans who already HAVE most (all, really) of these figures are the ones who did the voting. I've come around to the idea that they do the repacks, reissues, and redecos constantly in order to keep the 'name' characters on the shelf and increase impulse/kid buys, but the HOH concept was from it's start a fan-oriented thing, and the presentation of the packaging and the exclusive sneak-peek pics back that up. Nothing changed with the concept, but the delivery just doesn't appear to be as advertised.
It's basically come down to "Hey fans, we've got something special for ya--SURPRISE! IT'S A BUNCH OF CRAP YOU ALREADY HAVE!"

2) I agree it's a little silly to have these all over the net as opposed to let every site host / show them. "Infinite Wisdom" heh heh....
3) That is not the same Flint as the upcoming / just released boxset. He has a different (better) head and better paint apps (shown in the photos anyway) in the HOH I purposely held off buying the craptacular Joe boxset, and other Flint versions waiting for this inevitable one because I knew the HOH version would be better. Take that everyone who disagreed with me!
I'm really into the Viper, and Flint. I think that the weathering on Zartan is pretty cool, Storm Shadow looks F'n awesome! Better than the new 5-pack for sure. He's Creeping Death! Beachhead I'm not nuts about, I've been done with Crimson Guardsmen (got all I need) for like a year now. I'm not crazy about the BAT the original Single pack's looks great with the black paint wash, I don't like the shiny silver on these. FireFly is lacking IMO, he's an odd construction choice.
All in all, the look pretty cool in the packaging IMO. What else did anyone expect?

Speaking for myself, every last one of these characters has a number of 'classic' looks that vary from cartoon, comic, and various toy incarnations. When we were told 'exclusive deco', I expected something along those lines, not "hey, we painted the grenade on that guy you bought a year ago!"
The freakin' STANDS have the biggest changes. These have been targeted at collectors since day one, and they simply fail to deliver anything really new or worthwhile to the fans. I just can't praise Hasbro for that kind of bait-and-switch.

Why would they remake Flint's head? Why would they remake it and not us it for both when they've done the same for eveyrone else? Except for the B.A.T., there are NO new parts.

These have the air of something special, almost exclusive. The kind of things, all the bugs, we've been complaining about since day 1 should have been worked out of the figures for THIS line. They did that with Flint and Viper, for example. People would have been thrilled to see them....if we hadn't ALREADY seen them in another product. So basically, they are selling us some artsy new packaging.

So the only real packaging difference is that it comes in a "collector's case". That's actually not a bad thing, if you collect MOC (and I won't be surprise if these things are available AFA before regular).
So, maybe, in the end, that's the whole point?
Two other things, we have pics of the fronts, so why not the BACKS? And if that pic I linked has to be removed, that's fine. I was trying to do a comparison.

Package foil is different whereas the originals have silver foil unlike this ver, which has gold

It is NOT a new head! It is the SAME one used on the previous Flint figures. However, they did remake Flint's head for the boxset, which is new.

No it's not a new head and I never said it was. Yes, they're all repaints. Again, what did you expect?
If you want a nice Flint and don't /can't paint or do any kitbashing I think this version is your best option.
-The new 5-pack comes with a new and IMO ugly head I call him "wisdom tooth Flint"
-Tiger Force Flint you'd have to paint the beret.
-Cobra Flint's skin tone is too pale to match the 5 packs flesh tones. I think so anyway. I don't have the 5 pack one in hand. So even a simple head swap is not good enough.
In my opinion, as far as deco / paint goes this is the best out of the box Flint thus far. It's cheaper than buying a pack of 5 figures, four of which I really don't want, and the fifth I would want requires modification still.
I purposely decided not to get the 5 pack because I thought the HoH version would be IMO 'better'. Are they over-priced versus the single pack figures? Sure, but it beats the 5 pack price for 1 figure.
This Flint is still not perfect as I have decided, that I don't like the boot muck. His camo pattern on his pants seems to match wave 1 flint so a quick leg swap will be in order. See? he's still not perfect to me.
It's only my opinion, doesn't mean my way works for anyone else......
I realize that my 5-pack argument is biased because I know that alot of people will disagree with me over whether the rest of the figures in that set are any good or not. But I don't like it.

Wait, now I'm confused. He didn't say "new" he said "different (better)" so how is that not a "new" head?

I see that, Even the "Cobra Enemy" is at a different angle. But is that REALLY worth the extra money? I mean if they had the figure posed differently or put on the card different or something.
