I'm just happy for that. Before I got a little frustrated with all the villains being released but you have to take the good with the bad. Just like with DCUC!
Most people continue to criticize the hell out of Mattel and while some of it might be justified, they have to realize DCUC and MOTUC are small revenue streams in comparison to the main product they sell. So obviously it will take a second class status compared to their main cash cow which is Barbie dolls.

If nothing else it'll finally shut people up about it. So what if you have an entire collection of the 200x figures? I have them all and I don't care. This line is new, fresh, and better.

My sentiments exactly. As much as I loved the re-imaging 200X line, that particular line has ran its course
and I'm surprise that years after its cancelation that fans still continue to press this issue. This finally puts
it to rest. I'm all for incorporating 200X elements and different characters, but I'm not trying to re-collect
an entire new line of a defunct line. This is fresh take on a classic, keep it as such.

I'm fine with the Beastman figure we got now. A MYP of both really wouldn't mesh well imo, not to mention Beastman from the original
toon wasn't a overly huge guy anyways. I surmise that they will make sure Trap-Jaws arm mesh with the overall aesthetics of the other
figures while still paying attention to detail, especially since his arm has so much notoriety and If they do Keldor he will logically resemble a
Classic Skeletor, I'm sure they will also alter the harness throw in a cape and even throw in some boots, so Keldor wouldn't be an issue.

This wasn't news to me, either.
In fact, I think Toyguru has already said all this stuff in the past. It's always been understood that they wouldn't be changing the sculpting style; all the figures would be "chunky" like the originals.
The Horsemen are doing a great job of incorporating the various lines and inspirations into one so far. I think they'll continue to do so with guys like Trap Jaw.

Until we start getting figures like that, this line will continue to pale in comparison to both the original line and the 200X line.

which means by the close of 09 and throughout 2010 we will start to see more unique figures/characters. It
certainly won't pale by the end of 2010 in comparison to the 200X line. that much is certain.

I hope you're right. I'm just kind of worried by a statement from Toy Fair that said something like, "MOTUC works for Mattel because they can reuse parts, so you won't see characters like Modulok." Which seems to imply we also won't see characters like the ones I named, not to mention guys like Whiplash, Two-Bad, Mekaneck, and Syclone. So if all of those characters are off the table, then I don't think this line will ever be on par with the 200X line.
But I'll definitely be happy if Mattel proves me wrong. And if they can somehow make a King Hiss figure that doesn't suck, they'll have my undying loyalty.

Well this may ease your concerns, I got this info from He-Man.org, answers from Toyguru

Do to the huge success MOTUC has become, we have been able to allocate more tooling for the line and will now look at adding more highly tooled figures in the future. We would like to see the line make it to retail, but it will not depend on a retail release for these characters. Teela and Battlecat are both 100% tools.
So we pretty much have only touched the surface. If the line is a continued success then I have no doubt we shall see the
ones you mentioned, especially if we're getting Battle Cat so early in the game.
