BEWARE THE BATMAN Premieres on Cartoon Network July 13

Huh. Thanks to 3 Stooges reruns, I don't actually watch DC Nation anymore. At least now I know I won't be missing anything.

Thanks WB!!!

Don't you mean Cartoon Network? If it was the old kids WB it would of been more cool

I am all for them using the lesser known villains...but you know that they will go back to the old school rogues (if there is a season 2). Professor Pyg (aka Pygmailion kids wont get it) was dumbed down for this series.

This is stupid they should use the major villians then use the minor ones sprinkled in

WHY??? Personally, I'm getting sick of seeing the same old villains and the same old stories. I like the concept behind this show and I'm really looking forward to it, cannon or not.

Not to be an ass or anything, I just thought I'd point out that when Young Justice went on hiatus the fan-boy world was up in arms.

B the B has apparently gone on hiatus now . . . and I don't think anyone cares.

With the lack of reaction to this show I don't think anybody cares

Truth be told I never saw even one episode. I think I saw a trailer or two for it. It just didn't seem all that interesting, at least not enough for me to go out of my way to catch an episode. Also I'm not a huge fan of how stylized they went with the designs...that was a bit of a turn off for me.

The show was/is good, not great. Other than Batmans costume, the b list rogues gallery, and the Jason Statham wannabe Alfred I like it. Much better than "The Batman" or "Batman Brave and the Bold".

Batman's television and movie methos is so well marketed that you really cant tweak it. People that watch Batman but dont read Batman comics think they know everything there is about Batman. Look at every incarnation of Batman since the 1960's. At their core, each version has the same core group of characters. Its very difficult to go change something thats been around for 40 years.

If you want to do something like that, give Batman the vacation he deserves, bring him back at mid century, and then do what "Beware the Batman" has tried to do. But because of his popularity, Batman will not get a break, so that means people will expect to see what the expect to see.

I do wish that DC would get away from children oriented DC cartoons. I've read that comic book company's are not targeting them anyway, they are targeting the 20 - 40 age group. Therefore put some more adult oriented DC shows on HBO or Showtime. Kind like the Direct to Video DC Movies, just more regular like a series.

Well it should come as a surprise to no one, but CN held their annual Up-Front presentation recently and Beware the Batman was NOT listed among their returning series. That's right, no matter how you felt about it, the last DC Comics action cartoon in first-run television has now been cancelled.

I know it old but I just found this story
