  1. Just got Springer, Blitzwing, Legends Optimus and Bumblebee from BBTS.
  2. I'd love it to be Grand Max. Or some other Japanese only Transformer like Victory Leo.
  3. Mine is arriving Thursday as well... Mine as well.
  4. So I got my Encore 20a Devastator in last night and I could not be more disappointed. There is absolutely no die cast in this set (I'm sure this is the same as Encore 20, I just never looked at any reviews). The toys themselves feel very cheap. I had a knock off set before, and they feel the same quality of the knock off. Hook is a disaster. When transforming him for the very first time, his right arm popped off. I've never had that happen before. Also, when forming Dev, he doesn't stay together at all. The chest shield litterly holds the 2 halves of Hook together. I can't get Longhaul's face to stay up, and also can't get the part that connects Scrapper and Mixmaster to him to go in right. My Dev leans forward, as if he is about to topple over, and it's not because Scrapper's "unlocked". Speaking of Scrapper, I can't get him to stay on the leg part, he keeps popping off. Thankfully, I have an original Devastator on display, and I got this set mainly to display the original bots in their robot mode with their cartoon accurate faces. (I might have to tape Longhaul's up) but I feel that I wasted my money. Hopefully I just got a lemon set, but I bet I didn't. I'm just posting this b/c I want to say to anybody thinking about getting this set: beware. As a life long Transformer fan, I was extremely disappointed in this product. In my opinion, it seems Takara bought up all the KOs, repainted them, resculpted Dev's head, then re released them. If they do release these in G2 colors, I'm not buying them.
  5. The said they are thinking about releasing all 3 versions. Hmmm. It is tempting. I have Brave Max, and I have a Fort Max that is missing some parts, but I've always wanted a Grand Max. I just don't know. I would definately like to see some reviews of the quality of these figures b4 I invested any amount of money into them.
  6. I got him yesterday and before he arrived I watched Peaughs review of the figure. I decided that I would "transform" him from Hot Rod to Rodimus and leave him in that mode. I don't want to risk breakage, as I've read is very common with this figure. I will say that I'm very disappointed in him. There is virtually no difference in Hot Rod and Rodimus, except the face. They should have made the wingspan more noticable between the two. Also, I can't get my backpack to stay attached to the figure at all, which means the wings in either mode are not standing straight up, they are angled back. (A minor flaw, but one that bugs me.) Also I can't get him to hold either gun or the combined gun without ten to fifteen minutes of messing with it. His hands are designed very poorly, as they don't form true fists, and don't wrap around the gun(s) to secure them. I agree with Dake, that as an owner, Im not gonna treat the toy as I would a Deluxe, however, from all I've read online, I'm afraid to mess with him for fear of seriously damaging the figure. To me, for a toy that cost 200 bucks, its not very stable and seems to be weirdly engineered. It shouldn't be so frustrating to get a figure to hold a gun that comes with said figure. And connecting the vehicle to the trailor shouldn't scrape the paint on the spoilers. Peaugh recommended sanding the trailor, but why should we have to do that? I bought a toy, not a model kit. The transformation looks super complex, but I won't comment on it b/c I'm not transforming it. Has Hasbro confirmed that they are bringing Rod over as a Targetmaster? If so, I would save your money and get the Hasbro version. Maybe they'll make the Targetmaster actually fit into his weirdly desined hands.
  7. I used to be a completist, had to buy every Transformer in a line. Bayformers changed that. Now I just stick to what I like, the classics, G1 re-issues, stuff like that. I've bought 2 or 3 movie figueres, and they were throwbacks to G1 figures (Bludgeon and SeaSpray). I liked Animated, just scalpers hit my TRU quickly so I haven't got any of the new figures. I can't wait for the 3rd crappy movie to be over so maybe we can get a cool toy line again.
  8. From BBTS got WFC Megs and Soundwave plus Red Alert and Darkmount. Yay.
  9. Got the BBTS Seacons in. They are very.....pink. Also got FansProject "Swindle" and "Blast-Off". They make Universe Bruticus awesome.
  10. That was great!!! I love the scene with Sam and Ironhide, "why do I have to run accross a battlefield if you can tranform into a truck?" I'm with yojoebro82, the cartoon reminds me why I'm wating for this movie to hit the $5 bin.
  11. Could also be that they lost the copyright for the names and due to the box size didn't have enough room to put "Decepticon" in front of the 2 names. After seeing Hot Rod become Rodimus Major, nothing suprises me anymore. As Spystreak said, they'll always be Bombshell and Shrapnel to me.
  12. Found them in Corpus Christi, Texas. They only had 1 of each. I don't know the sku or item number, sorry.
  13. Was on vacation earlier this week and went to a Toys 'R Us to kill some time and was suprised to find the G1 Commemorative Insecticons and Perceptor. I knew the Insecticons were coming out but I had no idea about Perceptor. They have very nice packaging, which they should since they are 35 bucks each. Also, not sure if its been noted but Shrapnell is call Sharpshot and Bombshell is called Hardshell.
  14. Does anyone think there is a chance that Fortress Maximus will ever get re-issued by Takara? I was at my Mom's house the other day and found my old Fort Max in a sad state needing a lot of repair. It got me thinking, why won't they re-issue it? They have the mold that they have used recently (Brave Max) and all Brave is missing is Gaskett/Grommott and the 2 hand held weapons. Could you imagine if they re-issued Fort with Grand Maximus being the E-Hobby exclusive? Wow. I know anything is possible but I seem to think this won't happen, which is sad. I know the prices of parts fluxuate on e-bay but right now I'm looking at close to 300 bucks to restore my Fort Max and I would much rather spend that on a nice, new, shiney MISB Re-issue.
