I could have sworn that Hasbro already said no Cover Girl on a past Q/A, besides they can't use her name any more, nobody remembers her, and we got a pretty awesome one recently in the DTC Comic Pack with Spirit and the Clone Kid. If we did get a new Cover... er... I mean "Agent Courtney Krieger", I'd prefer she was blonde like in M.A.S.S. Device so that she wouldn't look so much like Scarlett. I have already professed my undying love for this Pilot Scarlett in a previous thread (Don't tell my wife!

).
I wonder if Hasbro might be persuaded to make a Scarlett or Lady Jaye in CG's costume with an interchangable blond head, a la the Flint in this wave. Call it a 'Covert Ops' figure. Sure, the name on the stand and card would be wrong, but it would be a great way to make the character happen. The collectors are the ones who want her, they'll know who it
really is, so they'll get her, and it allows Hasbro to put out another Scarlett or LJ, so they're happy too. Everyone wins.
This is something like the dozenth character I've figured out a 'back door' for just today. By just 'dressing up' some of the characters, Hasbro puts out what appears to be more A-listers to the casual observer/buyer, and collectors get more character expansion, albeit indirectly. The only mar is that the name on the card/stand won't match who the fans know it to really be.

Does any one here think that the Matt figure is Hasbro’s way of telling us that a MASK line of toys is coming soon? I never purchased any of the MASK toys in the 80’s but I had several friends who did. Putting out Matt would be an interesting way for Hasbro to test the waters to see what the response is.
That's been the general train of thought since it was first revealed. Hasbro swears it's just a one-shot thing, but we all know they can smell our money, and if interest is high enough, they'd just be sheer idiots not to. Personally, I think they should dig out all the JvC/Spy Troops/VvV molds and FrankenJoe them into the MASK characters- most of the sculpts would probably be better used for that then they were for Joes. Some of the Joe vehicles from over the years could even be pressed into service as MASK vehicles with little to no modification. Cobra Mountain, with a little work, could be a passable Boulder Hill (the headquarters of MASK). Since the villains are a group called VENOM, you can even get away with leaving snake motif, as long as it's on the 'bad guy' vehicles.
