  1. Supposedly Retaliation figures are supposed to be less. ...Hopefully.
  2. I freakin' hate when people poorly pack things like this. I've bought a number of things online that I've intended to keep sealed, and because of how poorly packed they were/how scuffed up they end up, there's really no point.... I haven't really found much of anything lately....Did manage to snag a bunch of Renegades/30th anni. figures off BBTS for like, $4-$5 each. It was like, $27 shipped, so that was a nice haul. Nothing is stocking much around here, though. There's a TRU nearby that put a couple new cases out two or three weeks ago, and while the figures were pretty cool (Hazard vipers, Techno Vipers, and a few Renegades cobra troopers. Picked up a couple of each of those) none of the other figures left over have moved since. There are two Walmarts near me that I frequent. One has 12 pegs for Joes, and has them marked at $5. Of course, I've never seen any figures actually ON the pegs. The other Walmart had 3 pegs, with the figures at $6.97. I went in a day or two ago, and the price tags were gone. Maybe they're getting ready for Retaliation figures or something.
  3. I'm starting to get tired of these figures, not because of the quality, but because Hasbro just seems to refuse to ever ship any to my area. I'm still looking for wave 6 figures--let alone 7 and 8--and people are already complaining about them. I'm tired of Jerks running around buying every single figure in every single store, and other people not even getting a chance to get them. At this point, I just WANT the figures for the sake of having them, it's not even fun collecting them anymore when nobody sells them, and everyone just complains about them. @grumpy@
  4. They're in the comic 2-packs. There should be a little plastic bag with the two figure's file cards, a redemption form for the DOC figure, and the red sticker should also be in that bag.
  5. If anybody needs an MISB Target HISS tank, I've got one I'll sell at cost+shipping. The only thing I want right now is two MOSC Armored CC figures from wave 6. Preferable with the card in as good of shape as possible (no serious damage like huge noticable bends, or bubble mashes). I just want one to open, and one for my sealed collection, so they don't both have to be in perfect condition.
  6. Yeah...people like this are ones to stay away from. I remember a guy awhile back trying to sell terrible quality Transformers Alternators KOs, and claiming that he "Didn't know anything about transformers."
  7. I picked up two more Vipers and a HISS driver today. Now I just need Duke, Spirit, and Wild Bill and I'll be done with this wave.
  8. Sale? Isn't 6.99 the standard price now...? There are probably a dozen or more CGs on the shelves of my local K-Mart. They've been there for months, and they're still at $6.29.
  9. They turn up on ebay from time to time, although I've seen a lot of people selling them for something like $10+ PER case. That seems pretty ridiculous to me, but I've seen them refered to as "star cases" so you might want to look around for that.
  10. Yeah, they look pretty cool, for the most part. Kill me if you must, but another repaint of Storm Shadow is kinda meh, but I'll be getting him for completion's sake. It's too bad that waves 7 and 9 are so awesome, but we'll have to live thorugh the two sandwiching that lame wave 8.
  11. I'm not really seeing the "better job" that Hasbro is doing. It's nice that wave 7 is finally making its rounds, but in my area, stores never even got wave 4 until about two months after wave 5, and I've seen Wave 6 figures at all of maybe 2 stores so far. I can't find an armored CC figure for the life of me. Most of the stores around here get new cases in maybe once ever 5 weeks or so, and then it's usually one or two cases, if they're lucky...
  12. Yup, they've finally been appearing en masse, now. Area Targets have recently gotten a healthy shipment of them, so I picked up a Viper and a second SE. I'll hopefully have the rest by the weekend.
  13. Looks nice. And I'm glad you fixed his "crazy serial killer" eyes.
  14. I don't know, how many of those listings are really 25th GI Joe product and not DTC stuff? A general trend on eBay is to market toys for whatever is popular, so a DTC Footloose may end up marketed as a 25th figure just to get more hits and maybe a buyer or two. BUT, people are free to do whatever they want with their money. If they want to spend over retail on a toy, that is their perrogative, I got online, and between the half dozen case revisions shipping this summer from Hasbro, practically EVERY 25th figure will be available (maybe not in one area, but they will be out there for retail). And I don't think the modern style of GI Joe figure will ever die. Yes, I expect the movie to push retro figure aside for a year or so, but I think Spider-Man, Transformers and Star Wars are showing that a line can have multiple figures geared to different markets. If you just type in something like "GI Joe 25th Anniversary" usually 95% of them seem to actually be 25th anni related. It's when you start selecting the "2002-now" category that you start getting lots of other lines thrown in. It's true that some are out of place, but I've been finding that it's very few...
  15. I FINALLY found hints of Wave 7 as well. I found two SEs at the Walmart I frequent. It almost kind of pisses me off, because since people have been talking about them at various forums, I've been checking two or three times a week. Two nights ago I was at this Walmart asking one of the guys if he knew if any more 'Joes were coming in, and the guy was clueless. I went today about 30 minutes before they closed, and all I found were two SE, indicated that either they got one case, and someone bought every figure except SE, or they got two cases, and someone bought every figure from both case, and left the two SEs. Either way I'm a bit miffed, since this exact same thing happend at the same store, when they got the wave 6s in. Oh well. Regardless, I agree that this SE is awesome. I've always thought this was probably the better-looking Snake Eyes of all of his outfits, and I agree that he's probably my favorite of the line so far. One thing about him that I love (and have liked about the 25th line in general) is that you can actually attatch all of his accessories to him somewhere, which was something that was missing from previous lines. Cool, cool, cool, and I can't wait to find more figures from this wave.
