Clone Wars Season 4 Episode Discussion

Great episode tonight! A definite favorite of the season! And Hamster, there's still time for Dengar to get hurt Swoop racing with Solo in the future. Seriously though, there is a lot of emotional development this season, and this episode is no exception. In addition, I love the action packedness (is this a word???) from tonight--bounty hunters versus bug riding space ninjas!! A couple of nice touches are young Boba with different armor, Bossk is badass, the killer robot's voice is awesomely sinister, and young Dengar. Sure people are thinking, "Hey isn't he the overweight hunter from ESB?". But remember you guys, ESB takes place roughly, what, twenty years from CW? Plenty of time to pack on the pounds! I want action figures of every member of Boba's team. C'mon Hasbro, hook us up (please)!! Make mine Clone Wars!!

pretty lackluster season finale nothing really spectacular about it

Lackluster, though fitting considering Darth Maul...its like 1999 all over again: hype up the disappointment!

LOL sounds more like Star Trek :P

Agreed although 1999 was a way better time than now <_<

I am a bit bugged that they never explained how Maul survived the encounter with Obi-wan or how he arrived on that junk planet.

That is the biggest mystery next to what happened to Jimmy Hoffa :P

I don't usually have time to watch tv, but I ended up seeing this and i thought it was ok. If there's the force, then there certainly can be dark magic so given that, i don't mind the lack of explanation of bringing back Maul.

I do like the cybernetic legs bc they reference depictions of Pan which by default references Satan in Christianity. I don't think I could've come up with a better way to do it... i think the writers should remind us that the sith's methods are "unnatural".

The question I have is that the show seems to be doing a good job at addressing secondary and tertiary characters; Do you think this will lead to a seperate cartoon series that takes place right after ROTS, with a young darth vader scouting the galaxy for jedis and re-acquinting himself with former enemies?

regards

Joshua

Robot Chicken showed one guy cleaning up on Naboo when Maul's body hit the ground. He complained about it, but seemed the type to finish the job no matter what. So he probably swept Maul up and disposed of him along with all the other junk.

Either that or when the Emperor came to pick him up he decided half way back that Maul wasn't evil enough since he was beat by a Padawan (plus he'd already moved on to Anakin at that point) so he had a Starscream throwing Megatron out of the ship in the original TF animated movie moment.

Perhaps the Emperor did fix him with those spider legs and couldn't fix his unbalanced mind, and with stuff starting to fall into place he needed more of a leader front man student in Dooku over one that was a silent assassin. So he cut his losses and discarded him where he likely wouldn't be found again.

it's possible Maul attached that Spider caboose himself but couldn'tconnect the nerves properly which caused him to go insane from pain
