  1. I'm so excited about this line! I actually contacted these guys and did an interview with Bryan Katzel of Warpo. Check it out here: Legends of Cthulhu interview
  2. I just don't see it happening. Not enough new stuff and too expensive at retail. They're fine at Wal-Mart, Target, and K-mart when you can find them, but Toys R Us is charging around 15-16 clams for these guys. You're right about the lack of characters, though. They're just too tough to find. Hasbro's Smashers has a great roster out the door already while Total Heroes just feels like its been on life support since day one. The Black Manta and Cyborg that were online exclusives looked nice, though.
  3. Where did ya find him? I found him on Amazon. He's still there, too! I just picked up Drax who is pretty darn near perfect. I love his articulation and he doesn't have the gummy, rubbery joints! Drax Review I'm really wanting to track down Nova, Guardian, and Rocket now. I'll pick up Iron Man on sale, as he seems to be easy to find.
  4. If there weren't so many other great lines out that I was collecting, I'd probably try to get these, but so many of these characters have been done recently and have so much reuse (even accessories). I'd snap Joe figures up at retail again in a heartbeat. I'll probably pick up some of the 50th anniversary stuff, too, if I run across it. This just seems like even more of a commitment than Matty's MOTUC, and at least those guys are larger and a bit more unique.
  5. Sweet! I found Slash, Dojo Splinter, and Rahzar over the weekend, but missed Newtralizer. I just reviewed Slash last night: Slash Review
  6. Amazon often carries NECA's action figure stands and another brand. Not sure if they'd work or not. I've actually moved to using the metal doll stands that use a metal wire ring to hold the figure up. They look nice and really keep your figures standing up straight. Once again, I bought them on Amazon.
  7. I just picked up my first Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Infinite figure the other day: Star-Lord! I'm loving this guy. He has a ton of accessories with him and is just a stellar looking figure. I reviewed him here just in case anyone is interested or undecided: Star Lord review, man!
  8. Just added Dark Horse Deluxe's Eddard "Ned" Stark to the collection. I reviewed him here. I can't wait for series three of these figures!
  9. I decided to go with the Dark Horse Deluxe stuff due to FunKo's QC issues. I snagged Tyrion Lannister first and reviewed him yesterday: Tyrion Lannister Review I like these a lot. I've ordered the rest that are currently available. They kind of remind me of the MOTU Stactions or the old Frazetta toyline fron N2 Toys.
  10. I reviewed Battle Lion yesterday, so here's my review of Scorpia: http://www.thepicreview.com/2014/05/action-figure-review-scorpia-from.html I've never been the biggest fan of Scorpia, but this figure is definitely impressive and lots of fun. I'm loving her!
  11. Just got my shipment in last night (I'm a subscriber, too). So far, I've managed revieiw Battle Lion. Here he is: Battle Lion Review
  12. Anyone else collect these? I think the stuff October Toys is putting out could quite quite possibly be one of my favorite collectible lines at the moment. They've got a new drop on Thursday (purple Zombie Pheyden and Purple Brocotal) so I'm definitely going to try and score those guys. I got Winter Blues Zombie Pheyden a few weeks ago, but my life has been so hectic that I really just got around to checking him out last night. I reviewed him here! Man, I'm just a sucker for minifigures. I'm loving MWOTR, SUCKLES, and all of the October Stuff. Any other good minifigure lines out there?
  13. Hey everyone! Happy Masters of the Universe Day 2014! As part of the festivities I posted a review of the 2014 chase figures Kowl and Loo-Kee today over at ThEpic Review! Enjoy!
  14. You know, with the price of toys and plastic these days skyrocketing at mainstream retail, I'm surprised Microfigure sets and minifiugres aren't making more of a comeback. This week's Micro Monday: Brain Face and Wraptile! Brain Face and Wraptile review!
  15. Anyone here collecting these? I just managed to get a set of the newest Pearlescent Neon Green three pack and reviewed them last night: MWOTR Neon Green set If you're into MUSCLE, OMFG, Monster in my Pocket, or any other similar minifigure lines, you'll probably dig these. They release a mixture of expnsive figures (limited editions and done in a different material) and then less exspensive PVC versions, which are these guys. They've released these guys in a number of different colors, but I hope they release some new PVC sculpts soon.
