  1. I liked seeing peoples collections but i limited myself to just getting the core group from the original series and that was it. Glad the Starship Legends will continue.
  2. Seems i have that HUB channel (maybe a free preview thing) and i saw an episode today. First time in a long time. I think there were three 'music videos' worked into the episode. I didnt recall that much music in each show. I wonder what happened to the writing crew for this show. Having to make up that many pop songs for an episode would have driven me looney. I may have to pick this set up for giggles.
  3. Lol...was thinking the same thing, Synch. Halloween costume, maybe? Cool pics of the AT-AT. Cant wait to see it after it starts snowing.
  4. I heard TRU was marking down the AT-AT by $30 Wow. That would be a deal. I got the regular box version for $50 at Wal-Mart on clearance. Havent seen the vintage packaging version at TRU for a while now. But if they did mark them down to $30 then i'm not surprised.
  5. 9th Show will be next Saturday 9/10/11. If you're in Houston check it out.
  6. Man i really like these vintage repackagings. Wish they'd done this during the PotF days since i was full blown buying then. I've been 'strong enough' not to budge and buy these though. If i find a good deal on the AT-AT though i'll likely crack and buy all the vehicles.
  7. Voyager was my least favorite of the Trek series. I didnt think it was really but it just didnt have episodes that really stick in my head like those i'm fond of from ST:TNG or even Deep Space Nine. For the most part i know i enjoyed the two-parters they did. I remember the hologram rebellion against the Hirogen episodes, the one where that other federation ship was killing aliens to power their ship, and that other one where the crew are brainwashed by some planet who dont have enough minimum wage workers or something of that sort. Wouldnt mind watching them all over again though when i have time.
  8. Yeah. The items can be pricey and limited. I'm planning on getting membership next January so i can get more of the exclusive at a discount. I've mainly been getting their recent retailer versions. I'll try to post a few more picks as soon as i get my WWRp Armstrongs in.
  9. I never wait for something to go on clearance if i want it to begin with. I complete my DCUC waves as fast as i can. The MU figures i like i get as soon as i see them. Course i always hope i'll find them during a buy one get one free sale or the such but i wont leave an item on the shelf if i have the money in my wallet. If youre willing to wait for something to go on clearance (and have the money to buy it before it does) then its probably something you can live without. I think this is the case for most toy collectors.
  10. I definitely like the ML BAF best so far. The SDCC one looks good though i have yet to see it up close. I've got one Retail version so far and its okay. I think once i get two more it'll grow on me more. Something about having at least three sentinels completes the scene for me.
  11. I'm kinda disappointed that he wants to keep altering his films. I just started to think of it as his way of trying to keep Star Wars in people's minds and hoping to keep it 'new and fresh'. I recall reading some blurb in a magazine about how to get one's children into Star Wars. Kinda like how classic western's or wwII movies dont appeal to me Star Wars is now getting (has gotten maybe) to the point where the current generation just doesnt feel it. Course his mind might just be slowly degenerating and he still thinks he's working on the movies as if it were still the 70's or 80's. Sooner or later he'll CG Jabba in nearly every scene. Jabba waving in the background during the Hoth Battle, a ghostly Jabba next to Anakin, ObiWan and Yoda at the end of RotJ.
  12. It wouldnt work for me. I collect too many different scales, toy lines, genres and periods that doing it that way would look off. Of course if youre just strictly talking about your DCUC collection then it might work but i'd be tempted to constantly get like/common ground characters together as my shelves would just be in order of waves 1-20. I once thought about organizing my figures to model the RGB color chart, get all my predominantly red characters (e.g. Jemm, Demon, Deadman, etc), blue characters, green characters and put all the other figures that dont quite fit in between and have them blend somehow. I usually snap out of it and take a walk though before my stupid ideas come to fruition.
  13. You forgot to mention heavy, labored breathing. This is a low down dirty practice for sure. Back when GI Joes were sold exclusively by two packs, you saw it constantly...the army builder replaced by some lame character... Unfortunately this conversation always turns to placing blame on the returns cashier and I'm sorry but I'm here to stick up for them. In no way is it in their job description to know all the members of Crime Syndicate. We can easily sit here and say something like "How can they NOT realize that superhero A isn't the same as superhero B!?" because we KNOW this stuff. Their training does not come with a DC or any other fanboy-ish encyclopedia. And as someone who has worked a returns counter for the last 10 years, I can tell you that scammers will hit them with much more than action figures switching. These people take their time and plan their scams well with MANY products. We actually DO look and pay attention to a lot of what we return, but once in a while something slips buy. There, I'm off my @soap@ I agree. The examples i've seen of people swapping out figures or stealing baf parts have been really crafty about making sure the package is re-sealed with very little evidence of tampering. I've even seen a comic book shop accidentally take in a trade and not notice that the baf part was taken out of a DCUC figure. This is one of of my 'pros' for the subscription. Too many people in my area steal and swap out parts or figures. tI really does suck when you see a bunch of the latest wave and have that moment of joy to realize why the figures are sitting on the shelves...because someone stole the baf parts.
  14. Yep...waiting patiently to see if i can put a period on my DCUC experience. As i'd like the line to continue, i keep hoping an online retailer makes a commitment that will make production feasible. If not i can see what other cool toy line to focus on.
  15. Thanks. I actually was trying not to get another set stipulating i would only buy the 4 i needed (bought 2 Medphyll and Skallox when they first came out) if i found them all at once. Curse my luck Surprised your having trouble with the right arm. I figured the movie figure would be the easiest to find.
