I guess I'm the only one still liking him, lol.. but mainly to hack up for customs..

I'll be cutting off that peg for sure, no need for it, unless he's afraid his vest will fly away, lol

Boil some water, and then dunk his hands in, after about 30-60 seconds, take them out and then basically close them into fists.. let them cool like that, and then you can jam a gun in there.. some people like to put the gun in the hand and then rubberband it while still soft... but I just say screw it and do it the fist way, that way he has some oompf and grip to it, lol

while the water's still boiling/hot(not actually on the burner, silly).. dunk is lower legs in there.. I'd leave them in for at least a min, that's a lot of plastic, and you want it real soft.. then take him out, fix his bow-leggedness and then hold him there for a bit.. I've found that sometimes it's good to put him on a stand and then pose him, and then they stay, but somethimes if the plastic is too soft, well, he might topple over, or my one time.. I had I think a new-ish figure bend to the side and his leg cooled like that, lol.. looked like his leg was all broken and bent in a weird position.. but anyway..

Let it cool with the legs straightened and he should be okay.. but... the problem might also be how the feet are molded.. if they're molded with an angle to them.. well, then you're kinda screwed, lol What I mean by angle, is look at the back of the feet, if you can see the foot peg that goes into the leg, is it straight up perpendicular to the foot, or does it come out at an angle.. that's the part, if it's molded like that, and comes out at an angle, then there's nothing you can do but maybe boil and pop the feet out and give him new ones.

As for the leg holster, can you try something if you have a small Joe-sized screwdriver? Can you take out that screw in that leg with the holster? I wanna see if the holster is like most Joe oes and can be removed with the screw.. if so, then that's awesome and I'll fix it that way.. if not.. BOOOO... lol..

Hope that helps and thanks for the pics.. I still love that figure!!!

Easy solution here: boil as you directed........but you can instantly cool and "lock" the part by holding it under cold-running tap water for a minute. The longer you hold it ( just a minute or two) the less inclined the part will be to slowly warp again.

You can do this over and over to get the shapes right, or to correct any warping that might happen in the future.

I like Duke. Like was said over at GTG, the Duke body is a good base for some Resident Evil S.T.A.R.S. team members, found 2 at Target and have another coming from HTS. Also picked up a Resolute Cobra Trooper who is also gonna bea good base for some Umbrella Corp. Commando's.

I think fans are loving this Duke better than the 25th Duke or Comic Pack

Guess I'm not a fan then...But what are all these toys and comic books laying around my apartment-- weird! I don't like Wave 13 Duke at all, sorry. 25th Duke was fine for me, especially with the new arms-- if I wanted realistic military, I'd turn on the news.

I bought the Resolute Cobra COmmander and Trooper, and have to say this is my favoriate version of the Commander so far. The Trooper doesn't blend so well with the other Blue Shirt Troops in the 25th line, but I intend to display him in my collection as a higher ranking Officer, such as a Major, compared to the regular Cobra Officers being Lts.

I passed on Duke, though, didn't have the money at the time. I think the body looked okay, but I would replace his head for one of the older Duke figures.

As for the other fiogures some of you are having trouble finding, my Walmart did get Matt Trakker, Wraith, Crocmaster, and Flint in Cobra Disguise. I know my store does have more in stock that have yet to be put out. I think they waiting til closer to Christmas so the shelves don't get too bare too early. So don't give up yet.

Thanks for the review / pics. I was reluctant on resolut figures especially Duke, and now

DO NOT WANT.

Especially the elbow articulation, I'm mean he better be able to bend his elbows 90 degrees to have that huge chunk missing out of the side.

I was thinking of doing a comparison with the 25th Duke, but I gotta dig him out of the box.

I thought about doing it too, but the other DUke heads are so small that it looks funny on that body.

I found the wave at wallys a few days ago. I was MOSTLY excited for Duke. Now im not. Pics on the web looked great, but once I got him Im not that impressed. To me Duke should always be one of the "Flagship" figures, a figure that shows what the line is about. This is still a good figure, but the fact that he has a molded gun holster, and comes with a sweet knife, and a nice pistol but cant put it anywhere REAAALLLLY SUX. This figure should have had a pistol holster and a knife sheath no matter what. ITS DUKE....the new weapon is cool, and I dont mind the headsculpt, but the lack of holster and sheath have just killed the figure for me. after all weve seen with this line, the Joes Top Kick has to leave his pistol and knife in the APC cause he cant carry it...obsurd..

I know I sort of missed the boat on this one, but I'll contribute my two cents:

I found Resolute Duke, Cobra Commander and the Trooper at my local Target in New York, and let me tell you that is like stealing the Arc of the Covenant back from the Nazis. Anyone from New York will relate. X )

But let me say this - this is the best Duke that Hasbro has given us in 25 years. Yes, he has minor flaws, the most annoying is that at times his vest doesn't sit on his shoulders properly. But overlooking smallish stuff, he is STILL out of this world - truly tactical looking, modern equipment and a non-goober face, this is definitely my go-to Duke!

Cobra Commander, though limited in articulation, makes up for it with a menacing and stylish appearance. No issues with him, especially after 20 previous Cobra Commanders.

Ing,

The Trooper is beyond my wildest expectations. Being a late-80s kid, I grew up with Vipers being the symbolic Cobra soldier, emphasised heavily in the second season of GI Joe, middle-of-the-run issues of the comics and other media. I never even really liked the look of the Cobra soldier of old... but THIS guy is like a Viper and a Cobra soldier merged into one lean, mean terrorist machine.

I've got three for myself, and they look excellent together or on their own. The helmet is a sort of cross between Darth Vader and the original, in that instead of a smooth surface from top to bottom, it's a helmet top and ridge. I like it alot.

The articulation is perfect - he can bend his elbows 90 degrees, which is more than a bunch of figures can claim. His two weapons rock, and his little backpack is perfect for the trooper on the go. The vest fits perfectly, and the pouches overlapping his legs do not interfere with posing too much.

If I had to put my finger down on something wrong with the figure, it'd be his eyes are RIGHT on the edge of being Ace/Quick Kick quality, where you're kind of wondering if human eyes could really do that. But it's not that bad, so you'll only whine about it if you WANT to whine about SOMETHING.
