  1. Yeah, because fans would rather have a mountain of Destros than Vipers when they're done Iron Grenadier army-building.
  2. For some reason I like the idea of Red Star, but not his figure's head. Looks too old, and--like some people have pointed out--like John Wayne. Plus, when I was shaving his arms to free up more articulation I forgot to take his head off and accidentally shaved off part of his nose. Anyone have any suggestions for a new Red Star head, one far younger and more power--uh, Russian?
  3. Is there a way to switch the non-articulated legs on CW Obi-Wan with the legs of one of the super-articulated Clones? It's my only gripe about the figure.
  4. Quick question--do his fist holes allow him to hold other Classics series weapons, like Jetfire and Prime's guns? That wrist-mounted blaster is cool, but he needs more to be real menacing.
  5. Well yeah, I don't mean I want my Autobots to be smiling all the time, but look at Classics Jetfire. He looks more determined than Prowl.
  6. Anyone else notice something about the new Classics figures' faces? Some of them look...kind of sad, like they don't want to be there. Prowl and Sideswipe in particular. I don't know if it's the angle of the eyes, or the forehead is set too low, or the corners of the mouth are turned down a tad in the wrong direction, but they all look slightly depressed. It's the only real thing that's stopping me from picking these guys up.
  7. Has it been said the comic pack Grenadier and the three-pack (red) Grenadier are identical?
  8. A little paint on the officer, none as far as I can see on the trooper. @can@ Cool. Just as long the Comic and three-pack Grenadiers don't clash. Isn't the three-pack going to be cheaper, also? Better for troop building?
  9. I'd rather see black-and-gold Storm Shadow than figures with stupid weapons and accessories like a vast majority of Batman figures.
  10. So what's the difference between the comic pack Grenadier and the three-pack Grenadier?
  11. Behold, my perfect Indiana Jones figure! At first I was just going to take the head from Crystal Skull Indy and put it on Raiders Indy, but the neck joint on Raiders was almost nonexistent, so I opted to switch belts instead. The belt, I found out, was actually attached to the back of Raiders Indy's torso, so I had to snip it off carefully. Then I had to pull the belts off both figures, which took a little work since I didn't want the belts to bust while I was doing so. Thankfully that didn't happen, and now I have and Indiana with: - Removable fedora - Curled/extended bull whip - Revolver w/ working holster - Satchel
  12. After a good hour of searching through my local Wal-Mart's entire stock of Indy figures, I found a Crystal Skull Indy with great paint apps and really like the figure. I'm still tempted to buy the Raiders Indy and do a body-swap, since I don't think the working holster is too big and I want a curled bull whip.
  13. I can see how it can be annoying. As a Transformers collector, it is a little annoying to see multiple Optimus Primes and Bumblebees, but at the same time, I know they're the big sellers. As a Power Rangers fan, it's a little annoying to see the Red Ranger get all the best power-ups and numerous releases. Still though, I'm aware he'll sell better than the second-in-command and the female Ranger (mid-season "sixth" Ranger character notwithstanding). Not sure if it was in Hasbro's mission statement, but this line will undoubtedly draw in long-time collectors and new fans, so they have to take that into consideration. Releasing multiples of staple characters is a good way to keep newbies coming back for more. Ignoring the older collectors would be a horrible mistake, which is why they update other older characters, but not to the extent of the top-sellers because they probably know fans of the old cartoon will buy, almost regardless. So yes, when looking it at it from a different take on the same point of view, I can understand how it can become irritating, but it's a necessary evil in the business world. "Give 'em what they want" and so forth. You didn't actually answer my question. I didn't? Sorry, I thought I had. I can see how it would piss off older fans wanting more variety and updates on older characters, but it doesn't bother me. But like I said, there's no one I'm all "OMG WHEN IZ HAZBRO GONNA RELESE THIS GAI?!!!!1111eleven" about.

  15. I'll agree with you on Bludd's lack of articulation, but I was referring to his head sculpt. I hear some fans say he "doesn't look right," but since I have no pre-existing idea of who Major Bludd is, I can't say "Yeah, that's wrong." I guess that was the point of my original question, "Do older fans get annoyed when a figure comes out that doesn't live up to their expectations (Bludd) or they feel has been done to death (Snake Eyes) and newer fans can't see where the gripes are coming from?"
