I think it's probably way too early to go with that story. They have so much more fleshing out to be done.

it would probably serve them better to just go with some early Ultron stuff.. and then leading to the creation of Vision.

Here's what I've heard. Don't bank on it completely. lol

Age of Ultron is simply the title. As I understand it, it's not supposed to relate to the comic series. And Thanos is supposed to continue popping up and be teased until Avengers 3. Joss Whedon has continuously said that he sees no bigger villain than Thanos, so there's no better way to end the trilogy. The Tesseract was also just a tool for the stories of Captain America and Avengers. The tidbits I've heard have talked like the Tesseract was pretty much done and if something were to be included with Thanos it would be the Infinity Gauntlet. Since Loki's staff was apparently powered by the Mind Gem.

But I'm not sure how Joss will pull off Age of Ultron. It's supposed to bring in quite a few characters, and with Scarlet Witch included, I guess we can't fully count out reality alterations.

Age of ultron was so lame. Terminator with superheroes. One of the reasons i didnt went with infinity. They just use the title thats all. Pretty sure the story will go that ultron turns himself into a pizza oven and tries to poison the avengers.

Calm down JJ!!! You're right though, it's only borrowing the name!!

From what I read, the origin is completely different!! But it works, and I think it'll be one that people that have come to know this character will be saddened!!

Only read if you want to be spoiled!!

Uh-oh! You know changing any kind of origin even the slightest bit is the greatest sin any comic movie can create! Surely some "fans" have already decided not to see it.

I tried, but that site takes forever to load!! Way too much going on!! That's why I like Screen Rant, simple, barely any ads, and it loads fast!!!

I'm surprised they even saw Iron Man, what with Jarvis being an AI instead on a human butler!! I thought it worked great!!

Oh, I'm sure I can already guess.

"The comic version was fine! Why can't they leave it alone! Waaaaah!"

"That's not the way I knew it growing up! How dare they change it! Waaaah!"

"Comic movies have no respect for cannon! Waaaah!"

"This movie will suck! Waaaah!"

They couldn't go with a human Jarvis people would be screaming Alfred rip off.

That's because he is.

Actually, question about him. I read Secret Invasion in which Alfr---um, Jarvis, was revealed to be a Skrull. Did they end up capturing the real Jarvis or was Jarvis a Skrull from day one?

See? it's a good thing they change it. As for Jarvis I believe he was replaced during the Secret Invasion, real Jarvis was found in the ship that had all the replaced heroes and Skrull Jarvis was shot by Bullseye after he returned Luke Cage's baby.

sorry man. but I am going to probably be one of those people if that is really what they are planning to do.

Why not have Antman create Ultron?

I don't see how the story is improved by having Tony Stark create Ultron instead... just sounds like even MORE focusing on and giving Robert Downey Jr. even more screentime, and Avengers was already plenty of that. Ironman already has 3 of his own movies and he was the star of Avengers 1. it's getting a little old.

big mistake screwing up the story.. Mandarin was bad enough

It would take too long to set up Pym as a character and then show him building (developing) Ultron, then have Ultron go bad. Add all that on top of introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch (and whoever else) plus give everyone else their screen time. I think they'll short cut it and use Tony and Jarvis too. It would have been smart for them to introduce Pym in the first Avengers movie and just have a throw away line about how he admired Stark and Jarvis, then in the second one have them show him having developed an AI for SHIELD and then in the third have it go all wonky.

The thing is where does this go? These characters loose themself and in time no one even knows what ultron is all about. They change these stories every damn time that its hard to focus on them. Oh now ultron is created by iron man. Back in the day it was pym. In 5 years it will be thor and then he is a clone of apocalypse. 20years later he will be rewritten for ultimate now. It really is a shame how these characters get rewritten and makes them less interesting the more they go on with it.

I agree with that to some extent. They could just introduce him and have him already building Ultron... so within about the first 15 minutes you could have Pym and Ultron already.

I think they messed up not having the Antman movie come out before Avengers 2

They've been trying to get Antman off the ground for years. They just don't seem to have enough faith in him to get the movie made. And Hank Pym was intended to have a cameo in Avengers, but Joss Whedon said that Marvel was against loading Avengers down with Easter eggs. They considered it distracting. So he had to nix quite a bit.

As far as Ultron goes, it makes complete sense to have him made by Tony Stark. The obvious move ever since Jarvis was made into an AI for the first movie. And then Iron Man 3 with all those armors? Pretty much a direct lead in. So if you bring Hank Pym in, all you're doing is making Tony Stark Jr and having him do everything Tony Stark has already done. So it's smarter for them to go with what they have.

But yeah, it's funny how people are already complaining. Saying it's gonna suck just because they're changing some details, which should obviously be expected in every comic movie by now. It's a new universe, so they modernize things. But no one can really judge until it's out and they see it.

I just like things to be like they should be.. and I don't see a reason why they can't be.

it seems to me like whoever makes changes to these things (be it costumes or storylines) is just taking the easy way out because they lack the talent to find a way to make it work.... sacrificing quality for simplicity.

Plus, now that's a THIRD "smart guy" you have running around in a lab doing "smart guy" stuff behind Stark and Banner. It's fine for the comics but with a movie where you have a more finite amount of time and characters to play with, it just makes it tough.

I like the idea of having Pym, I think it would be cool to see a really tall human walking around between buildings. We never really saw that before in a movie. Maybe in the Ant Man movie. I'm not trying to defend anything, maybe it will work out, maybe it won't. But just because something is different from what you knew doesn't mean it sucks.

They are always going to change things and to be honest I'm completely indifferent to this one it may work or it may not I guess we'll find out. What we have to keep in mind that while Hank Pym is a founding member of the Avengers he's also hated and disliked by Avengers fans who never got past his wife beating aspect so he's not necessarily the most popular. Also I'm starting to think this plot could be used as a way out for Robert Downey jr. Tony feels guilty about the creation of Ultron and leaves the team or makes the ultimate sacrifice.
