  1. Oof! THAT'S going to just sit there on those shelves...
  2. What a colossal disappointment this line has been...
  3. I know SDCC isn't over yet, but it IS Saturday night and regarding the 6 " Black Series, I have to ask... is this IT???
  4. Ugh! Once you go down that road, just admit you've outgrown comic books.
  5. Twenty-plus dollars for figures based on fan fiction? No. Thanks.
  6. Wow! What an utterly disappointing showing for this line at Toy Fair! It's as if Hasbro is losing as much interest in this line as WE are! Just a couple of thoughts and observations on the line at this point... 1. It's a tremendously disappointing shame that Hasbro has really scaled back the amount of accessories included with these figures from what was delivered with that first wave. These are twenty-plus dollar figures and that price is hurts for what is offered. R2-D2 was a toy shop of accessories. Darth Maul had swappable heads, multiple light saber blades, and an interchangeable robe. Jedi Luke came with a light saber and a flap for his shirt (An accessory I honestly care very little about!) No robe. No gun. No switchable battle-damaged hand. No skull to toss at the rancor. Nothing. My rule would be that if the Kenner figure had an accessory, it should be included with the Black Series version! (Yeah. I know we'd get a lot of weird things like Admiral Akbar's walking stick and that gun Hammerhead never had in the movie but Geez! These things are twenty bucks!! Give us something!) 2. I'm a fan of cloth capes and robes too but that Emperor is hideous! How do they let that thing roll out like that??? 3. The distribution of this line has been horrible! I have never seen Chewbacca, Anakin, Darth Vader or any Clone Troopers in person. I was only able to get my Stormtroopers by going to Amazon and Hasbro.com. I hear there's a Sandtrooper with a black shoulder pad out there but I have yet to see one. My Targets and Toys R Us's are STILL choking on Slave Leia's, Greedos and Han Solos! 4. I've got to say... Yoda isn't really so bad. He's just too green. 5. It's a real shame that Hoth Luke can't have a swappable non-injured head. I also wish I could have a Tampa that WASN'T perpetually vomiting blood. 6. I hate to say it... but that Tauntaun is a bit underwhelming. 7. Yeah. R2 was a bit small but I got used to him.
  7. Wow... Does DC allow Mattel to retain the DC license out of pity??
  8. I just got a Tung Lashor in the mail along with that horse Arrow. I had subscribed last year (2013) but I didn't want to do it again this year. t thought my subscription was done. Is Tung a remaining part of last year's subscription or do these subscriptions automatically renew themselves??
  9. My God... I was going to ask how Mattel could sleep at night offering this thing, but I imagine its going to be on a giant stack of cash and giggling like a school girl. When all is said and done, Mattel is asking you to plunk down forty dollars for this abomination! I would hope that anyone that could be suckered into doing so would have a family who cared enough to have them declared legally incompetent and a their finances monitored by some other authority. I guess if we didn't get the Legion set when we did, we might be seeing Proty with a similar price tag!
  10. Every time I look at this one I just think of Superman in Mighty Mouse's costume. That being said, I might be tempted by this one if it were on a peg for 14.99. For thirty plus...? No way.
  11. I get the joke and what they're going for with this one. Maybe if this was on a peg for 9.99... or even 14.99...I might get it for the pure lark of it. For thirty plus... no way.
  12. I'm a big Super Powers guy, but all of these last few figures have one huge major strike against them and that's the thirty-plus bucks that they're going to cost. With this in mind, I look at this Wonder Woman and I look at the one I already have and I say, "Nah. I'm good."
  13. I just picked up the Leatherneck and the Beachhead sets at TRU. Good Lord! Leatherneck is HUGE! He's a great sculpt but he almost looks like he was meant for a whole other line. Does anyone know what happened to this one?
  14. Even if that were true, Mattel has managed to hide their repaints better than they are with this glaring rip-off.
  15. No sign of Blizzard, Batroc, Radioactive Man or Tiger Shark??
