  1. I have been trying to keep myself spoiler-free of this movie, so I don't really know any full details, but is this going to take place before the Keaton Batman, or are they creating an entire new Batman saga? If it ties in to the other films, the suit is perfect. If it is going to be a stand-alone, then I agree with some of the others, and they should have gone for a more plain look, and not the rubber... either way the suit does look cool.
  2. Unfortunately, the Hush Catwoman figure has not been released yet, I think they are slated for the end of this year, I'm sure someone else here has a more accurate date.
  3. This is great news! I can't wait to hear more about this. What is this Superman cyber suit AIC News is talking about... I almost died when I read that. I need to see this thing, does anyone have a pic of it? It has to be good for a laugh. At least they cared enough to save this movie, as for Fantastic Four and Green Lantern, I blame the people who went to see Fast and the Furious and White Chicks... it's your fault movies suck now @pow@
  4. I guess that answered the question I had a few weeks back on how this guy was allowed to make these Batman movies. I wouldn't start to cry for him, this hype will make his movie more saught after. As far as WB goes, they don't own the rights to these superheros for fun, they own them for a reason. They know if this movie somehow made this guy a fortune, others would no doubt follow... then what would be the point of copyrights and trademarks? It isnt about you or your friends dressing up like Superman and acting out a scene in public, or custom figures on Ebay or whatever... If someone was mass producing a Batman comic, they would do the same thing. If this guy just wanted this film made for the fans, it would only be shown at comic con, and never again... we all know it will end up in some form on Ebay, even if he isnt the one selling it... that is why WB is stepping in.
  5. Yes because if kids didn't like them, they wouldn't sell, and the line would be cancelled. Considering they're NOT cancelled, and constantly moving off the shelves, you're wrong. Most collectors are extremely blind to the market side of the toy business. I really wish I lived near you, where these things were flying off the shelves. My walmart has about 4 feet of JL figures, K Mart has about 8 pegs or so of them, TRU has an entire section of them, and not only the most recent series, they have just about every single series... The only figures that are not present are the shortpacked ones... so tell me again how these lines are for kids... I understand Mattel has this "we make toys for kids not collectors" mantra that they refuse to admit is a blatant lie... They destroyed He-man, which could have been HUGE for them... and the reason they gave was that kids didn't respond to the line. So it's the kids fault that they don't know how to market action figures. Seeing as how on mastersoftheuniverse.com under specialty stores, Ebay's link is above TRU & Wal Mart. I guess shortpacking does pay off. I will admit my point of view is biased, since I hate Mattel with every fiber of my being (what they say is true about women being scorned @firedevil@ ), So I will be fair and I won't say Hasbro didn't do a number on Bats. They made some of the same mistakes... if you think Mattel has a clue what they are doing, do me a favor, take a trip to your local KB toys, ask them if they have any Glow In The Dark Mission Masters figures, unless they cleared them out, I'm betting they have about 2 rows. There is no need for that many Batman variations. Parents will always say the same thing until the end of time to a child holding Arctic Battle Armor Deluxe Super Batman "why do you want that, don't you already have a Batman figure?".
  6. I'm not complaining, just stating my opinion from what I am seeing of this line. I don't like them, and I don't buy them... Judging from the rows and rows i see of them at TRU, Walmart, Target, KB & K-Mart... No one else seems to be either.
  7. It seems like Mattel isn't even trying to get collector interest in this line. I guess they know they can't compete with DC Direct, so why bother... still, they could have a long life with the animated lines... I don't know what to think of Mattel anymore, shield strike Batman? Haven't I heard that somewhere before? All I can hope is that somewhere in that utility belt, Batman has a cyanide pill, so he won't have to suffer a long agonizing death like He-man is being made to suffer.
  8. I just picked up a second set to open up, so anyone still trying to get them, Tower Records has the set of 5 for $60.00, shipping and everything only came out to $6. I have ordered figures from them in the past, everything came mint & very fast. link: http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=3021809
  9. These movies look pretty cool, but out of curiosity, how does he get away with selling these films? I've seen them on Ebay before. Does he have the rights from DC to make them?
  10. knoxx, The figure is a little taller than my Mattel Batman, just like the other DC Direct figures. and Robocop, Ironically, I still haven't gotten the most recent ToyFare yet..
  11. Here you go pogoman... I tried to flatten it out, but it's got a nice size crease in it... once I get the ones I ordered from the coupon, I'll open this one up.
  12. YAYY!! @luv@ He came today, I'm soooooo happy!!! I can't wait to get the other figures from this set, the detail is amazing. Just so you all know, This was from the subscription offer, not the coupon, so if you did the same deal, you should get yours very very soon! Also for the MOC croud, they shoved it in a smaller box & the top of the card was bent pretty bad. anyway.. pics!
  13. So I guess it has never been "officially" said then... That's what I figured... For some reason I always assumed that the Justice League show took place after Superman & Batman's animated series, and that Teen Titans was in the same time frame. So much for that idea
  14. I was having a discussion about the show with one of my friends and 2 topics came up, that I don't remember... I am pretty sure I have seen every episode (I might have missed one or two), but he told me that Robin was Dick Grayson, and not Tim Drake.. I assumed it was Tim, since it was his costume, and I don't recall him being called his real name.. Or any references to his parents that would lead me to believe it wasn't Tim. Also, He said they have mentioned Batman on the show.. And I also don't ever remember that... am I going crazy?? Someone please clear this up for me. P.S... I hope this does not start a Dick or Tim debate.. If this is already an issue under debate I'm going to duck and cover somewhere... @argue@
  15. Just wanted to follow up and say I got my microman Batman figure today from imageanime.com .. it's really nice.. the head does not like to stay on him... overall I'm very happy with it.. a tad bit expensive, more than I like to spend on action figures.. but he's very cool, if anyone wants to know anything else about the figure I would be happy to answer any questions. @bats@ @bounce@
