Deadline has verified that Keanue Reeves has been selected to lend his voice to the character of Shadow in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film by Paramount Pictures. Reeves becomes a member of a group headed by Ben Schwartz, who portrays Sonic. James Mardsen takes on the role of Tom Wachowski, Sonic's human companion in the movies, while Jim Carrey portrays the eccentric scientist Dr. Robotnik. Jeff Fowler has been the director for all three movies, and the latest one is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 20th.
