  1. My most anticipated figure since the 80's lol. Always wondered how long it would take to get a Billy figure. Loving these club figures, even if I'm not a member. Picked up Slice and Vypra so far, will absolutely be getting Billy and the new "Icy" Night Creeper. Wish they'd make an 80's style Alley Viper, HEAT Viper, Astro Viper, Undertow and TARGAT.
  2. One of my all-time favorite figures, and one of the few vintage figures I have MOC. Definately looking forward to this.
  3. Very cool, we need more female Cobras. Not a CC member, but I'll definately be paying $$$ through Ebay for Vypra, Night Creeper Leader and Slice (eagerly anticipating some pics), and maybe the new Crimson Guard. Still quite a few 25th style figures I'd like to see. I've given up on seeing a Billy in Storm Shadow style outfit, but one can always hope...
  4. I only have 4 vintage MOC figures on my to-buy list: Jinx, Night Creeper (original), Storm Shadow (version 2) and Slice. Everyone else I want I just got the 25th. I'm mostly just doing the ninja, Arashikage and Cobra figures I've always liked. Might eventually get Storm Shadow 1, but MOC will be a few years down the line. He gets pricey. The other four can be found for around 40 to 60 on Ebay.
  5. The only one I'm looking for is Storm Shadow, and I don't think it's gonna happen. I'll just resort to Ebay, he's pretty much going for retail pricing, so it's worth not having to drive to my local TRU three times a week, and being constantly disappointed lol.
  6. I'm kind of foggy on a lot of the vehicle drivers, but the Bridgelayer guy was probably my least favorite. The coolest was either the gray Stinger Driver or Copperhead.
  7. I never wanted the Flagg that much, but I really wanted the Terror Drome. Unfortunately, I was in junior high by that point, and it was a different time for toy collectors. If you bought or even kept toys after elementary, you risked complete and utter social alienation. The funny thing is, I would occassionally "catch" a friend at the store buying Joes, MASK, He-Man, Visionaries or Dino-Riders. It was a sad time, really. We all still loved this stuff, but had to act like we didn't care about toys, comics or cartoons anymore, just because we suddenly had lockers, football games, chest hair and tingly feelings around girls.
  8. I was staying with my grandma in Baytown, Texas and we went to the mall. ARAH was brand new, and she got me Snake Eyes, Stalker and Short Fuze. I remember leaving Short Fuze's backpack at her house and being mad about it (it was cool because it had the little mortar rounds in it lol). I remember liking them ok, but it wasn't until Cobra really got rolling that I jumped in with both feet. Destro and Major Bludd were a move in the right direction (gotta have a weapons supplier and mercenary, right?), but Storm Shadow, Scrap-Iron, Firefly and Baroness really set it off. I was hopelessly hooked after that.
  9. Why go through all that trouble when you found a Wraith at your first store, unless you're a pirate or army builder? If you are, then you should have been arrested anyway. I don't like those guys.
  10. I'd heard that the license for the old cartoons are under new ownership. Will they get reissued on DVD?
  11. I liked Serpentor more. He was the kind of guy you could follow into hell, truly a man born to lead. But CC was more cunning, and was the better man for leading an organization like Cobra.
  12. Oh man, this just keeps getting worse. If you have any G.I. Joes, sell em' now...
  13. Fortunately, I got all mine on Ebay early enough to ship before Christmas. I just buy busts and statues, but have a friend who has been thinking about getting back into Joe. He hasn't bought a figure since the old TRU sets in the late 90's, so I'm sure he'll be excited to have the "old school" packaging. Now, if we could just get them to continue the busts for ME!
  14. Most of the 25th Joe auctions are store prices, maybe less. There are pages and pages of them on Ebay, so scalpers can't really demand more than 7 dollars a figure, and the guys that want 30+ dollars for figure lots never get bidders. I've watched many of them out of curiousity, but they end without bids. In fact, most 25th Joe auctions end without bids. I've used Ebay to buy all of my 25th Joes. It's fun to stumble on a figure at the store, but I'd rather pay 2 more bucks, Paypal it and wait for the mail than drive to every Target and Walmart around here. Just give it a few months. You'll be able to buy ANY 25th figure for less than 3 dollars eventually. People that buy them as investements are foolish.
