  1. What doesn't surprise me is an almost full fiscal quarter with no communication, after communication has already been established for the past 8 years. Along with the BS we got about matty being more transparent. Snake Mountain may or may not be made, but if it is... will it be worth getting since the last we heard it was going to be reduced in size. After seeing what Mattel's design team did to Point Dread, I have little faith Snake Mountain will look remotely as good as the 4H prototype.
  2. PowerScam: Where there is NOTHING MOTU related at all... and is essentially a She-Ra/POP event. I feel bad for any MOTU fan who travelled far to this .borg get together, which is essentially all it is. No new information about the future of MOTUC, mattycollector, or Snake Mountain was given either. The total silence regarding MOTUC at PowerScam and on the matty forums could only mean the end is near for the line, but Mattel is too scared to announce anything official.
  3. The packaging is uninspiring and the artwork on the back looks like it was done by an 11 year old. Pathetic.
  4. The MOTUC line has officially gone to #$##. All the figures are clearly being made cheaper. But in particular, the Talon Fighter is WAY too big, but nice. The red paint on top is sloppy and lazy. Point Dread is a joke. They completely changed the 4H's sculpt and made it smaller. The top part that attaches to the castle is cockeyed. Teela is a complete pieces of garbage. It's very sad that I have to pass on this set, which curiously doesn't even have a price tag on it yet. LOL!
  5. With the way things are going, I'm sure this is going to suck big time. Just take a look at Point Dread and Teela 2.0 --- such disasters.
  6. Just snagged these from ebay for $50. Going to sell off the heads I don't want to make some of that money back.
  7. I want Camo Khan too, but I'm not supporting Val and his PowerScam. I'll wait and see if matty ends up selling them or if I can grab him from ebay at some point.
  8. Since there is no way I will be supporting PowerCon, and since I would love to have a Camo Khan, I have considered buying a loose Khan and Buzz-Off from ebay at some point, and making my own Camo Khan. Problem with that is, it will probably be just as expensive to do that than actually buying the real deal.
  9. I have no problem with quality flaws from factory workers, after all they are only human. What I do have a problem with is the seemingly poor, or almost non existent quality control at the factories. Mattel is basically allowing flawed product to be fully produced, and sold to customers. There is no good reason why a defective product should be packaged and included in a large scale shipment overseas, then sold to the customers. That is 100% lack of integrity. Since it's Mattel's responsibility to maintain QC, I blame them as a whole, not the factory workers. Mattel continues to do it because they are all about what they can and can't get away with. For example. A recent poll over at He-Man.borg was conducted to gauge what people wanted out of Snake Mountain. This poll is no doubt to see the percentage of people who would be okay buying a Snake Mountain with a reduced size, reduced accessories, increased price, etc. If enough people vote that they would buy Snake Mountain no matter what, this basically gives Mattel permission to make the lowest quality product possible. Sadly, it's the fans as a whole who condone Mattel's actions when they continue to purchase their products. It's sad that even voting with our wallets doesn't help, it only prompts them to cancel a line and move on to the next one. There just isn't enough people who are willing to boycott Mattel, so they continue with their dishonest, coercive business model.
  10. In a nutshell, yeah. Sadly, this is pretty much how it works.
  11. Wow, that is very crappy of them. Was this before Scott left or after? Scott was the one who initially advertised the snake torso as coming with the as yet to be announced 2015 sub figure, but after he led us to believe it would be part of the 2 pack. I think people are pissed about it because when the Snake Armor He-Man & Battle Armor King Hsss 2 pack was first revealed, the snake torso was supposedly coming in the 2 pack. Then we were told later it didn't cost in so they had to save it for another 2015 sub figure. Now we are essentially being told it didn't cost in again, so they claim the best they could do was make it it's own figure. Many people including myself think this is BS and is mainly an excuse to profit from something that is highly anticipated. The right thing to do would be to include it with a 2015 sub figure, even if it had to be poly-bagged since this would be the second time they are claiming it didn't cost in.
  12. Brand New Figure? Well, maybe from a certain point of view. It's nothing put repainted, preexisting parts designed to go with the snake torso. Not only does it come with accessories it can't even hold, they aren't even King Hsss' accessories. For the uninitiated, LOL the snake torso was advertised as coming with a 2015 sub figure, since it allegedly didn't cost in with the Snake Armor He-Man & Battle Armor King Hsss 2 pack. Mattel is now telling fans that it will no longer be part of the sub "as promised", and will now come as a full figure sold on mattycollector. The issue is sub holders already paid for the snake torso because it was costed into the sub throughout the year, and now Mattel is essentially saying it wasn't and it will need to be sold separately as it's own figure. I personally feel this bait and switch, which is also a violation of the Federal Trade Commission, is the last straw. I mean, who's to say they wont do this again with future subs? I am definitely voting with my wallet this time.
