  1. How about: "Damn it Jim. Do I have to explain the space-time continuum again?" OR "I don't have time for this Kirk. I have to be on the X-Men Origins: Wolverine set in an hour. Oh wait, never mind. Take your time."
  2. Hey all. Well here are a few new customs. YELLOWJACKET: He was made from the 1st SMC Daredevil, W/ plumbers epoxy & Citadel paints (yep, finally using good paints). KANG: Kang was a ML Magneto w/ a UL Punisher head. The cape is from a DC Direct Hourman (?). Lots of epoxy as well. I also finished a Captain Marvel from Avengers Forever (the one Rick Jones turned into), put the pictures are pretty crappy, so I'll post new ones soon. Until then, you can see him in this pic w/ all my other dcustoms. Enjoy and thanks for lookin'.
  3. Thanks guys. Well, I just got home from a weeks vacation, and did some cool stuff. I finished Kang's body, and he is no a nice primer grey waiting for a head, so I have to find a base head in "the box" to use. I used a Magneto body, but it is almost completely sculpted over, and looks pretty cool. He is definately my most in depth work to date. I also made an Avengers Forever Captain Marvel I am really psyced about. I used a DC Direct figure, Time-something(?), as the base. He had a spinning hour glass gimick in his chest. I sculpted a real chest over that, along with hair and Nega-Bands. He's primed and I'm gonna start painting him tonight. I also did an alright Yellow Jacket before I left I need to finish painting. I want to do a complete "Avengers Forever" Team. I should have some pics up this weekend at the latest. Even got new paint today, so I think the Kang and Marvel at least will be big improvements on my past work. Catch ya soon.
  4. Oh yeah, sorry. Quicksilver was a ML Namor. I just sculted on the hair, and filed off the eyebrows. Those 2 little tufts in the front were a bit of a pain. I probably spent an hour with a file on them. It was pretty delicate work.
  5. Well, just one more set, my latest: Chamber, Quicksilver, and Multiple Man. Chamber was a X2 Cyclops, with a X2 Nightcrawler jacket. The eyes look a little wierd because they have the light-up effect. After I took the pic, I realized I forgot to give him eyebrows, which has now been fixed. Quicksilver, I believe came out pretty good. The paints on the lightning bolts were really tough, and need to be touched up, but I love how the sculpted hair came out. Multiple Man was another whim. Not really planned out, but I think he looks pretty cool. He is a Gambit body, with the arms and jacket from a SM2 Doc Ock. The head is from a Star Trek Enterprise figure, which is a little big for the ML scale, but any ML head I tried looked too small in comparison to the coat. Well, let me know what you think. I am beginning too really work on my paint apps. I have been using cheap Testors paints but have gotten alot of good advice on other paints to use. I am working on a Kang fig based on Avengers Forever, which is a complete re-seculpt of Magneto. I think it is coming along really well. Thanks for looking, and I'll post more soon. Out- Clark
  6. Here are some more in the Avengers / F.F. arena: Mole Man, Giant Man and Thanos. Mole Man was a SMC Doc Ock, with a cut off Magneto cape. Giant Man was done mid 90's style from a 12" G.I.Joe Crimson Comando and a Duke head. The belt is from Jango Fett. Thanos was way fun. I used a movie Hulk figure (not sure which), and I really wish I used something w/ more articulation. This will probably be the 1st figure I redo.
  7. I guess next I'll show you some X-Men figures: Cannonball, Shadowcat, and Nightcrawler, I think Canonball was a pretty original idea. I had an X2 Iceman with a broken leg, so I cut him off at the waist and glued him to a Nick Fury jet pack stand. The jacket is from a X2 Wolverine, and the headgear is sculpted. This is one of my favorites. Nightcrawler is a basic X2 resculpt. The arms are from a Daredevil figure. I actully got kinda bored w/ him, and still need to detail the paint on the arms and legs. I started doing a Astonishing X-Men Kitty Pryde from an X-men Movie Rogue but got bored. Then I had the bright idea to cut of an arm and leg and glue her to a Sentinel base for a "Phasing effect". I think it came out pretty good.
  8. Next up is the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants II (at least some of them). Pyro, Mystique and Avalance. Pyro is made with a ML Gambit, arms from a UL Daredevil, knees from a ML Wolverine, and flamethrowers from a 5" Pyro. There is a Gundam/G.I.Joe backpack which isn't visable in the pic. Mystique was from a UL Electra w/ a Two Towers Eowyn head. The guns and holster are from a random army figure. Avalance is a UL Punisher w/ a Magneto box set head.
  9. Hey all. You may have seen these on other boards, but I figured I might as well post them here too. Please give me your feedback and advice. I'll start out with some of my earlier customs, and work my way to the present. I started in late August/early September of this year, and I am having a blast. This was my first custom. He was a 5" iron Man, with some gundam parts and epoxy. I quickly moved to Marvel Legends scale after this. This first set is from the 80's X-factor and X-men issues. We have Cyclops, Angel and Havok. Cyclops was made from a "Evolution of X" Wolverine with an X-Men movie Xavier head. The visor came from a X-Men Movie Cyclops. The cuffs were epoxy, but I had no idea what I was doing, so I painted him w/o even filing or shaping the clay. Angel I actually did a bit later, but was kind of a quicky. He was a SMC Daredevil (the early one), with wings from a DC character (who's name escapes me). The head is from a ML Gambit. Havoc was made from a UL Spiderman (I think), with Daredevil arms and head. I sculpted the headgear, and bought a cheap Cubic Zirconium ring for the jewel.
  10. Is that an X2 Wolvie? The pants, head and arms look like it. I like the hair extensions. What about the torso? Is that Wolvie too? Great Work by the way - Paul
  11. I'm kinda interested in this challenge. I have yet to pick up any of the Spider-Man and Friends, so I'm not sure what I can do. I've seen them around, and just checked out some pics. I think I might be able to do something cool. I'm gonna go pick up a few tomorrow, and see if I may be able to help you out. In the mean time, you can check out some of my opther customs here: http://www.fwooshnet.com/forum/viewtopic.p...p=117184#117184 Keep an eye on it, because the promised Chamber and Quicksilver figs will be posted some time this weekend. I'll let you know if I can do something about you Deadpool fig, and post a few pics of my ideas, Later - Paul
