So glad I didn't get the sub! How can they even think of releasing a figure without the ability to hold its accessory?? Also for a $22 figure, i'd think there would be a little more unique.. Are the boots just painted on? Hard to tell.. anyways I'm not missing out on this one

I agree the inability to hold the lantern sucks. Cool sculpt...IDK which will be easier for me to get at this point the DCD or this. I think I might just got with the DCD.

I would recommend the DCD. I'm pretty happy with mine. Aside from missing a few points of articulation that the Mattel one has, it's a better figure all around.

he looks awesome and way better then the dcdirect figure. the only real problem is his size. that is a real let down. i dont care if he cant hold his lantern. he really looks like he will kick some ass any minute with close fists. i actually prefer it this way and its not like he holds that lantern in his hands all the time. i cant even think of when he had his lantern in his hand the last time in the comics. the figure looks awesome but he is to little. sad. once again we have to wait for something better

The DC Direct one has problems like all of their figures. Limited articulation is not a bad thing but the articualtion means nothing outside of arms pointing forward. If you display the figure you can't get him into any poses other than standing straight, the legs are designed a way that the figure would fall over anytime. I suggest the Mattel one over the DCD version. The Mattel version is small and can't hold the lantern but those are small things to having a figure who just can stand straight. I prefer my figures with fists most often and personally don't care if he can hold the lantern or not but it is weird that he has one and can't hold it, we need swapable hands.

Also people keep saying these are 22.00, I thought day of sale items were 17.00???

According to the Mattycollector store, the day of sale price is $18. The MOTU figures are $22.

Thanks for the info, I know people keep saying 22.00 for these figures........maybe that is where the hate is coming from.......nah, if they were 15.00 people would still complain.

I HATED the whole rainbow Lantern stuff.... still do. This fig is pretty crappy. The DCD one is much much better even with limited articulation. I like Jay a lot better and I was let down by him.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find most Green Lantern figures to be boring?
