These look absolutely AWESOME! Just the Artic Tele-Viper ALONE makes me all warm, fuzzy and GIDDY inside, but add in the cool new version of Artic Scrap Iron, and I'm busting with JOY!

I can see me picking up 2-3 of these EASILY!

it would be even more awesome if they gave us two of the arctic vipers instead of the arctic viper with the roadblock arms. not because of the crappy hand but because he has short sleeves... that dude is going to be cold. i also feel bad for the snow serpent behind the cobra symbol in the packaging.

MUCH better than that desert set. But still a little weird. Why no Ice Viper? Would it have been THAT hard to mod? Or even the version 2 Snow Serpent?

Scrap Iron: That doesn't look like the same guy in the comic pack with Wild Bill. I guess its ok, just seems, I dunno, inappropriate for an "arctic" thing. Is his helmet removable?

Snow Serpent x2: Not enough of these guys in an "arctic" set.

Other "Viper" Guy: Do we need these guys? Just give us some damn Snow Serpents.

Tele-Viper: Now THAT is cool. Why didn't they do one in the desert set?

I have to decide if I want to get more Snow Serpent singles or wait for this set. Problem is, I think, it's not REALLY much of an army builder set. I doubt anyone would care if they had the extra Scrap Irons (we've had to deal with THAT for 8 years). But, for me, the Vipers just kinda throw it off, not knowing "who they are".

OK, Tele Viper here's the deal, we'll send you into the arctic tundra or whatever, but don't worry, we'll send some vipers with short sleeves to back you up, and best of all, we'll equip you with the latest on computer technology: a PC/Laptop thingie with TWO , yes you heard right , two floppie disk entrances, no no, no need to thank me, and ifyou play your cards right we'll upgrade it to a commodore 64.

Its sad looking. You would think that Hasbro would have learned there lesson with all the repaints and rehashed same old body parts? lol They must think we are dumb. Granted there new wave 11 and 12 are good but again how many more repaints are we gonna see from those figures? lol

It looks OK, but the only reason I might get it is to army build the serpents and get another televiper head with a computer (no mater how antiquated it appears).

Still, assuming that I can find some more Snow Serpents single carded, and knowing that there'll be a televiper re-paint sooner or later, I think I can pass on this one.

Ok, I personally like this set guys. I know it is a little campy but it has that 80’s style I remember. I played with these toys as a kid, I remember all the silly codenames and the outlandish outfits and this set fits right in. Hasbro seems to be catering to those of us who grew up with GI JOE in the 1980’s. I am buying one set of these to open and while they may be just a set of repaints and body swaps, they bring me back to my childhood so I have to thank Hasbro for that.

Viper:[/v] Awesome. Simple but effective.
Snow Serpent: I think the bases got switched and this guy's the officer, since he has the highlights that set him apart. Would have preferred to just have him be a Snow Wolf or something... but I guess I can call him whatever I want.
Scrap-Iron: To be honest, I'm not really feeling this one, which I know puts me in the minority. He doesn't resemble Scrap-Iron enough for my tastes, and I have no interest in a snow-themed version.
Snow Serpent 'Officer': Nothing to really dislike here.
Viper: As a change in the color scheme, I like him. As an arctic operative, I too have concerns about his chances of frostbite.
Snow Serpent: Still nothing to dislike here. It seems the Snow Serpent mold is the new Cobra Trooper. I know it's an army builder set, but three times in the same set seems a bit much.
[b]Tele-Viper: I gotta be honest, I would rather see Cobra Commander's head on there, just for giggles. I have plenty of CCs to do that with already though. I'm just not a TV fan, I guess.

I'm severely in the minority here, as I probably want the Desert set a little more. Somewhat ironically, I probably would have adored an Arctic Joes set. My collection needs Iceberg!

I work in the toy industry and trust me a lot of ppl who have seem this line say what you just said (about other ppl saying why cant it stay the same ???) have you seen the figures there bubba??? They are the same you (re re) what ppl are complaing about is the fact Hasbro has re hashed figures with new file cards for the masses and the sheep who bahahah there way to the stores to buy a repaint!!!! you give them credit for that?? Hell legos are more creative that a set of re paints!! man!!!! After collecting for 25 years I will be the first to say Wraith,Para vipers even that retared MATT TACKER figure is refreshing than seeing repaints. At the end of the day if you do not like it you do not have to buy it? we all agree right? but its the same as Metallica and all the internet ppl downloading free music. If you are a fan you will BUY it no matter what. So...a leader type. Cobra only has 3 types of characters. Named individiuals (Baroness), nameless troopers and "leader" types. Leader types are sometimes named (Skullbuster) but are usually just guys with outfits SIMILAR to the troopers they lead (that Red Ninja leader in the Snake Eyes vs Red Ninjas pack).
