  1. Well, BBTS reminded me why I buy from them. They're shipping a replacement figure out to me.
  2. Well crap. I finally got the nerve to boil the stuck hand on my Mongul figure, and I managed to get the hand to loosen without breaking it off. But then once I wasn't distracted by the stuck hand, I tried to figure out why the figure didn't want to stand up straight, and it turns out my figure has two right calves. FFS, quality control. I've e-mail BBTS to see if they can replace the figure.
  3. Sweet dude. Thanks for the pic. She's just about the perfect height then. Very appreciated!
  4. Thanks for the tip! I was at home for Christmas, and I made a road trip to Columbus. I stopped at the Phenix City store, and they had a single 2-pack on the shelf, which I snagged. With that purchase, I'm done with DCUC hunting for at least two waves (16 is pre-ordered, and I won't be buying 17). Feels good. I still haven't seen a single pack anywhere in the Birmingham area.
  5. Sweet. Looking forward to the picture. Thanks!
  6. Well, my latest venture into mixing DCUC and DCD didn't work so well. I don't like the DCUC Brainiac, but the DC Direct History of the DCUC Brainiac looked really good (and was really cheap on Amazon), so I ordered it. Unfortunately, it's WAY too large, almost as big as the DCD New Krypton Brainiac. I really like the DCD JLI series Ice figure, but I'm worried about the scale. Anybody have a pic of Ice next to some DCUC figures (preferably Guy) so I can avoid making the same mistake?
  7. You don't have to "hear" anything. Don't read the forum, or put people on ignore if you don't like what they have to say.
  8. Oh, I have no illusions that Mattel won't "call back" these figures. The writing is on the wall for wave 17, and it's a train wreck that's going to happen whether we like it or not. My concern is the future of the line. You realize they're plotting out future waves right now, correct? My hope is that if the people who have been fans of this line for the past several years speak up that this is a bad idea, and then if the wave actually fails, MAYBE Mattel will get it through their skulls so we can get back to the good stuff for future waves. Or we could just all be a bunch of sycophantic yes-men who will lap up anything we can get for fear that master might stop loving us if we don't.
  9. How about you people stop telling us not to offer our opinion? This is a discussion forum: if you don't want discussion, including critical discussion, go elsewhere. In your view, maybe the people who don't like this wave are endangering the line with our negativity. But in my view, the people who are supporting this foolish wave are damning the line to failure if the Powers That Be at Mattel don't catch wind of displeasure, and fast.
  10. The internet has become an outlet for people to whine, cry, and complain. The few that dont like this wave will post on every site, blog, and even Facebook. The haters will be the most outspoken. I hope Mattel will continue to produce DCUC despite the crybabies that can hide behind monitors. Chopz Yeah, it's a good thing I can hide behind a monitor, because I'd sure be afraid to tell a big bad toy company to its face that it made a poor choice. Seriously? -rolleyes- Nice use of hiding behind sarcasm aswell. I would think my meaning wasn't "hidden," but in case you had trouble parsing, I'll state it explicitly: I thought the sentiment expressed in his post was stupid. Clear enough?

  12. They've already said there wouldn't be a Wave 3.
  13. Roadkill: info on wave 3 being canceled here. http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/2131094575/m/5811048466
  14. You know, that would have been an excellent idea instead of yet another Hal: a white Sinestro with a variant correct height Sinestro Corp version.
