Is it just me, or do Obi-Wan and Luke look really bad?

I hope it's just the pics, and that they will be a lot better when we get the final product in hand.

Obi-Wan always looked bad.
Boring design, boring toy, didn't come out very well anyway.

But Bespin Luke kinda breaks my heart a little.
Hey, no one knows better than me that there's a difference between prototype and final production model, but MAN, that took a huge dip.

It just looked SO nice before, and now, not so much. How much can I fix witha repaint? I dunno - like always, I'll have to wait and see how it actually comes out.

I hope they fix it b4 it hits the shelves or it may be a pass for me......

Black series 2 is showing up at retail in MN. Saw Leia and Greedo at Target.

Here's a review of Boba Fett to help you decide whether you want to track him down or not (hint- you do!): Star Wars Black Boba Fett Review

He's really a very cool figure. Still not better than the best Vintage Collection Fett, but possibly the best figure in the Black series so far.

This is currently my favorite figure line out there. I just picked up Han and Greedo at Target. A few thoughts so far...

1. Yeah. I wish R2-D2 was a bit larger and more textured but he wasn't a deal breaker for me. He largely looks fine.

2. I wish those backpacks on my sand troopers weren't so heavy!

3. I expected Greedo to be my favorite figure so far, but to my surprise Han Solo slightly inches him out.

4. I saw Slave Leia the same day I picked up Han and Greedo. I picked her up but I put her back down. Those twenty bucks would've hurt! She's really not a twenty-dollar figure.

5. That second pic of Bespin Luke doesn't look great. He really does look like a large scale 3 3/4 inch figure. I also wasn't overly impressed with Han based on his pics, but he's ended up being my favorite. I didn't think he looked bad in those pics, but I never expected him to have impressed me as he has!

6. Prequel Obi-Wan isn't very impressive either, but fortunately, he carries with him the stench of the prequels so if he doesn't win me over in person, he'll be an easy pass.

7. I wonder if the inclusion of the elaborate accessories we saw in Wave 1 is over. Greedo only has a gun. We haven't seen much more from the figures in Wave 3. We may have to lower our expectations moving forward.

Yeam, I'm wondering about the inclusion of extra accessories mysel moving forward. I understand a figure like Greedo not coming with much else vecause what else would you give him? My only thoughts were an alternate "blasted" portrait and perhaps the little sandtrooper droid that flys through Mos Eisley in the prequels.

Looking at wave 3, however, I am pretty disappointed with the accessory complements. Shouldn't Bespin Luke have an alternate portrait at the least?

Why doesn't Obi-Wan have his robe? I really want this series to give us "definitive" versions of characters (like the first series, for the most part) but now we seem to be getting bare bones versions.

Absolutely not. Not for me anyway. At $20 a pop, the expectations should be high.

Wave 3 is not impressing anyone, it seems. Yes, there SHOULD be a removable hand for that Bespin Luke. It's such a pivotal element. And if there were going above and beyond like they did with the Han, they'd also have included that apparatus he wore while recovering on the Falcon. If that face sculpt doesn't impress me when I get the figure in hand I'll be leaving it on the shelf. But I won't write anything off yet. We'll see what the future holds...

So far it would be the only wave I wouldn't worry about pre-ordering at the current reveal stage......good suggestions on the extras lets hope they surprise us.....

I wish Bespin Luke would come with a battle damaged alt. head. That would be perfection if they included that and a nub

If your Target has those scanners with the numbers on it, you can check to see if the item is in stock in the back. Just enter the DCPI number from the tag, and it'll tell you what aisle it's in and whether there are more in the back (yes or no).

The gun can even tell you which store has the items your looking for as well, I've had other Terget "associates" (like that term it reminds me of the mob) look them up for me so I could go to that location instead driving all over hell's half acre for figs.....but alas this gentlemen nerd had enough helping for the day, perhaps he was tired or fed up or hangry or maybe it was the thought of working on turkey day but he didn't seem like he gave 2 flying bowel movements about me buying those figs......I have them on back order from HTS so I think I'm okay....+ I'll be out this weekend so I'll keep my cybernetic eyes open.....thanks though BB

Finally got around to reviewing the Sandtrooper. It's taken me awhile as I was pretty busy with Halloween stuff for most of October. I think that he's the standout figure from the line so far due to the great articulation and his arsenal of Imperial weaponry. Here's the review: Sandtrooper Review

I got my Han from amazon a few days ago, still awaiting my Fett. He is such a great figure and edges Luke from wave 1 as my fav so far. Such a thing of beauty. This is becoming my fav retail line for sure and bringing my love for SW back big time. I think when I get some extra cash I will get Greedo and Leia from Amazon if they are still $20. My local target has 12 wave 1 figs so I doubt I'll see any there any time soon.

Sweet my Fett shipped! Nothing like $20 figs with free shipping. Love Amazon when you catch them before the scalper prices hit them. :)

Kmart is getting wave 2. Saw all of them there last night but Leia weirdly enough. Grabbed Greedo to go with my Han and Fett. Man he surprised me. My buddy got Fett and Han.
