  1. Well I agree there. It is nice to see how well some of the figures have been updated. Thor is definitly one of them. That first Thor from the first marvel comics line kind of sucked. I remember being so annoyed that he didn't have a cape. I always wanted that Heroes Reborn THor but never found him. That early Marvel Toys line wasn't that great all over anyway. With the exception of the licking Venom and a few others that line sucked. The Doc Ock and Green Goblin were especially bad. Doc Ock especially, because he was tiny and weird looking. I always thought they downgraded from the Secret Wars version. I was really happy that they updated both of them in the Animated Series line. Marvel Toys changed so much so quickly in only 10 years.
  2. Yeah, I agree. Sure there were some silly looking figures back then, but those figures were the best. I dont' know if it's the fond memories or what, but I defnitly like them a lot. I've never been a huge fan of the large amount of articulation that they give the new figures, but I buy them becuase they look really cool and are huge compared to the old ones. I think over articulation kind of kills new figures because I'm either distracted by all of the cuts and weird balls or I can't ever get them to stand in more than a few poses. Like Bishop, I cannot get that figure to stand or look right. The old one though I have to no problem with. One of my favorite figures in the old Xforce line was Cannonball. I used that guy when I was a kid for everything and he never broke. That's why I was so happy to see that a new figure was coming out. But now that I picked up the two pack there's so many freaking issues about the guy because of his over use of articulation. First the damn peg keeping on his hand is sticking half way out so if I move his hand at all it begins to pop out of his arm. And second his one shoulder ball is stuck so I can't move his arm more than 45degrees. There's something else to, but I cna't remember right now. Other favorite figures - Scorpion, Hobgoblin, Carnage, from Spiderman the Animated Series, Cable 2 and 3, Apocalypse 2, Venom (the tongue licking one from the 3rd Marvel series), Wolverine in that black spy gear costume with all of the knifes, a whole lot more. Even the Secret Wars figures were cool and they were the first figures. (was there something before?) Venom Planet of the Symbiotes was a great line. Although there are some bad looking guys like the old Mojo. The new one's great. I agree that the over abundance of them was great because if you wanted something you'd get it. Now if a kid asks his grandparents to look for a certain toy he'll be lucky if he gets it. Distribution sucks now.
  3. Hi, I thought your toy review was good. I wanted to ask you though if you have the same problem I have. Since the brown on top is very thin the color has pulled off a little in the armpit area of his left arm. You can see the black rubber, and even though it's not huge you can definitly tell that if it keeps rubbing more will come off. Do you see this happening at all with your figure? I'm really worried about it continuing to pull off of the rest of the arms.
  4. Hi, I live in Pa and I had a hard time finding them too, until last week. I live around Ridley Park (outside philadelphia) and I go to three Walmarts all of the time. One in Eddystone, Glenolden, and the last is in Boothwyn. So far only Glenolden and Boothwyn has recieved one case of the Ronan set. Both don't have any more. I never was able to find Mr. Fantastic and Silver Surfer, but I got the other 6. THe Glenolden Walmart also got 2 pair of the 2 packs, but both are now gone. THe Glenolden has all of the Spiderman 3 set except for black spiderman. THey only recieved one case of that set. Needless to say PA is getting royally screwed with these sets. One case is crazy. Please if anyone finds more around Philly please metion it. I still need Silver Surfer and Mr. Fantastic. Thanks.
