What a weird assortment Hasbro has come up with here. What's with that Cobra Commander, anyway? A samurai sword, WWII Luger, M-14 and a General's peak cap? Is he supposed to wear that over his face mask? And it looks more like a Viper anyway...

The others are better but now that Sideshow's in the mix, I don't have time for these.

I would have definitely been interested in that CC if it were a Viper... I actually think it would make a great viper!

That Duke looks awful... BH is alright!

Cobra Commander in an admiral cap doesn't seem that outlandish - Heck, Kroenen from Hellboy looked bad ass in his so why not CC? : )

But, aside from that brief defense, that's got to be the worst rendition of Cobra Commander ever... and I'm counting Star Brigade.

They are bot supoir

Even my 12" Duke from the early 90's in the Desert fatigues is better then the one shown here

Gotta say, I have yet to see a non-sideshow (post 1980) 12-inch Joe I like.

Assuming you are not just referring to 12" RAH -type characters, there's some 12" Classic Collection figures that are VERY well done, as well as a few in the Timeless Collection--which are basically just repros.

Some of the later Classic Collection is very detailed, and feature unique modern soldier subjects--some of which have not been attempted by other companies.

Some of there very last Classic Collection offerings make very good characters for a 12" RAH team--and fit in with the current style of figures ( molded shirts).

they all look like crap. beach head is the best one. all the accessories are messed up except dukes.

Yea, but there's plenty of 21st Century Toys gear kicking around in the aftermarket circles still that one can outfit these guys with decent gear and weapons for not much $$ at all.

more shelf space filled up with crap nobody's buying, waves 1 and 2 are fully stocked everywhere I go, the public has spoken, they're not interested.

Indeed I wonder where they will fit these in then?

Sigma 6 was also warming the shelves here. Walmart still has a bunch in the clearance aisles.

Wasen't aware of the classics. Perhaps they just don't come to Canada. I like the classic Joes qell enough, but the only 12-inchers I've ever seen have been the RAH failiures.

We got our share of them for a while, then they because kind of hard to get for a time, and only certain ones made it up here. This was about a decade span from about 1995 to about 2005.

Oddly enough, I've found Hasbro GIJOEs in the most unusual places...hardware store, drug stores, places like Excess cargo ( clearance centres) , and dinky little out of the way places. The tail end of a lot of left-over stock gets circulated to a lot of smaller retailers as filler items, so keep your eyes open and you might find some.

2 yrs ago, I found a cheapo 12" GIJOE, that was a US ARMY Heavy Weapons Specialist-- a basic molded shirt guy but who came with a really nice DETAILED scale M2 .50 Cal machine gun. This was a $10 CDN item at a local hardware store, and the the M2 was co-opted straight to my 12" Roadblock kitbashed figure.

The same purchase saw a USAF rescue specialist figure that made a perfect updated Rapid-Fire figure straight out off the card.

Some day I'll take pics to show you what I mean....

I got the Snake Eyes one but must've missed Storm Shadow. I'll pass on those. Can't wait to see what Destro looks like!

I can tell you what Destro will look like.... after you get off the toilet look inside and thats what he will look like!!! LOL I can only pray that that whole crew who worked on this line gets fires and they can all live in the same card board box and hope that someone comes by and sets it on fire withe them all traped inside!!! LOL
