Recondo is one of the few RAH joes that shows some direct lineage from the 12" GIJOE that came before. He's essentially the Australian Jungle Fighter from the short-lived Soldiers of the World sub-line, with just some modern treatments to his gear. If you take the Aussie jungle fighters, and extend the lineage up to the SAS in Borneo and Malaya, and up to SEALs in Columbia, then he's actually a pretty cool character based on that background alone.

I'm light as air. We're all having a discussion about the new Recondo and you seem to have some issues controlling your attitude. If you're going to get punchy and "joke" around (like you say) why the defensive comebacks? Here...I'll give you half of my "chill" pill.

Grabbed all of wave 2 minus Destro and SE today at Target. I really am impressed!! Dusty and Zartan rock like I knew they would since I first saw the pics. Jungle Viper I grew to really really like and in person still do. The surprise was Recondo. I expected to like him but I really LOVE him too. But he is not Recondo! I am sorry, he is not!! The head has no resemblance unlike the other figs. This is a Gung Ho head plain and simple imo. They just decided to make it Recondo.

Well, I just picked up Dusty a few days ago and, as awesome as he was, I did have one problem with mine. It has a really loose torso joint, meaning he can spin around "Exorcist" style without any problem. It was just strange because I told a friend about it and he said his Dusty has the same issue (although not as severe). I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Finally saw a single wave 2 figure at Target today. Not on the pegs that have been clear for the past 3 weeks but hiding in another aisle. I passed since I ordered a case but good to see them in the stores now.

Damn you Hasbro......... i said I would not do it but I went and bought wave 2 SE.... he is actually a sweet fig onec you get him open. I like the armor detail and the weapons and shockingly the action feature does nothing to limit the sculpt or articulation.... bravo Hasbro.... if I was a kid this would be my fav figure!!

I preordered a case at smalljoes but I wasn't sure if my order went through since my paypal card transaction was expired and the money was put back in and they haven't replied back to me, so I canceled it.
I went to Target though today and it looks like they unloaded 2 or 3 cases. Lucky me!

I picked up the Steel Marauder yesterday. I never thought I'd be tempted by a mech battlesuit but this was pretty nice. An added surprise was how neat the Kickstart figure is. I'm sure he's cobbled together from existing pieces. His head is definitely a blond Airborne head but he makes for a nice figure.

I'm not that intersted in the mech myself, but I too think that Kickstart rocks. He is basic green, but has that nice flip helm and some decent gear. He looks a little resoluteish. Just an all out good figure. I am not sure why he couldn't have been a steeler etc. But I might try to grab one loose down the road.
