It's over! So what's your favorite Mattel figure? Ever?

This seems like a good time to do this since DCUC is all said and done. Who's your favorite figure to ever come from Mattel? Go ahead and include DC Superheroes, or All Stars, or Unlimited, or YJ, or sub figures...whatever.

(Please see one of the other threads for any Mattel bashing you feel you need to do. Just figure talk here!)

I love the Mattel Aquaman. Great detail in the scales, good paint, good trident. Probably my favorite ever.

Favorite BAF would be Stel. Amazing detail and great paint aps (I love the shinney green on my GLs) Bane is a close second.

Clayface. Really nice, different figure.

How about you?

hard to say....love the Justice Society (minus the hostage situation with Jay Garrick): Dr. Midnite and Wildcat (excellent sculpted cowl)

Love that they put out a Catman figure, even if his most modern incarnation

Ultra-humanite

Big Darkseid

Hard to say...The Horsemen did a lot of "right" for a line that did so "wrong"

Whoa that's a tough choice. I don't even own some of the one's I like the most, but here's my list.

Metamorpho: excellent figure, 100% unique sculpt, and the regular sized build a figure was a unique concept (that I think they should have continued).

Crime Fighter Batman: also from series one, my favorite Batman toy ever. Goes perfectly with another figure on this list...

Wave 16 Robin: either variant, it's just an awesome figure.

Classic Green Arrow: I don't own it, but I've seen it and it seems to be a perfect representation of the character.

Animal Man and Vigilante: Two of my favorite characters, I was surprised they even got made.

Captain Atom (both versions): another favorite character

Wave 3 Hal Jordan: hate the character, especially since Rebirth, but the figure is pretty awesome

Wave 16 Riddler: vibrant figure of a classic bat villain, I don't mind that he's buff

Classic Superman: probably my favorite superhero of all time, I like the DC superheroes version for its better headsculpt, and the classics version for the better body (it can stand more upright)

CnC Darksied: looks great next to Superman on my bookshelf

other greats include Wildcat, Azrael Batman, Toyman, Wally West Flash, and the upcoming Ozymandias (unless Mattel screws it up)

Crime Stopper Batman has to be one of my favorites.

Powergirl is one of my favorite characters in DC and the DCUC figure does her justice.

Rex Mason/Metamorpho, absolute beautiful sculpt. I liked the idea of a smaller C&C but with add on accessories.

Forager, never knew who this character is but the figure looks sweet.

Killer Moth, whoever thought this character would sell is crazy but the end product looked fantastic

Swampthing, had to give Mattel credit for trying something new. Figure looks great and the stand and Unmen are a nice touch.

Recent released Dark Knight Returns Batman and Vampire Batman have been on my wanted list for a long time. Great looking figures.

I don't know if Movie Masters count but Naut Kei Loi is my favorite among the bunch along with Sinestro and Kilowog.

Steppenwolf and Mantis (Super Powers)! Who would have thought that Mattel would have given us faithful representations of those classic Kenner figs!! They didn't have to, but so glad they did!!

Aquaman. While he may not be a lot of people's favorite character, they made a perfect representation of him in the line and people seem to be impressed with him!! Easily my favorite of the JLA!!

Black Manta. Such a simple design, yet they did it perfectly!!

Amazo. I don't know why I like this figure so much, but I do? Another figure that leapt from the pages of my free quil comic!!! :D

Hawkman. Such a beautiful sculpt. They got the wings perfect, and everything about him was spot on!!

Artemis! Such a beautiful figure. If only there was a real woman like that in my life!! **sigh** :P

Black Manta, Grundy, Superfriends Luthor, Crime Syndicate Owl Man, Clay Face

BAF Apache Chief, though face could have been made to look tougher like in the cartoons, Wildcat, Orion, Nightwing

DCUC is the closest thing we can get as to resemblance of appearance from the comics or cartoons, if youre a collector, and you did not get these, man, you missed

half your life.

There are a ton of great figures in this line, but my favorite would be Martian Manhunter. It took a while to get to him, but he was the one I was looking forward to most and he came out great. Others I really like are Dr. Midnight, Black Adam, Captain Marvel, Etrigan, Deathstroke, Catman (hell yeah it was his modern look). Two figures I wanted we never got are Kate Spencer and Oracle. I know a woman in a wheel chair is not an exciting figure, but she was big part of Batman and the Birds of Prey. We also never got an Alfred Pennyworth which should have been a no brainer. It's not like Batman never had his own line or something.

Favorite BAF is Kilowog. I wanted him big and bad ass looking, and that's exactly what he was.

You've got two of my Favs BB84....Martian Manhunter is very cool.........but the real treat for me was Etrigan!!! When I saw him at retail I had to buy him, hands down....he was even on clearance....I do really like that recent DKR Batman, its still in the box but he may be breaking out very soon....Even though I missed out I also really dug The Man-Bat (I'm a fool for leaving him at Walmart I wanted to pick him up but for some messed up reason passed on him.)

I saw a Man-Bat on ebay recently, it wasnt still as expensive.

On another note, good thing about DC, for the late collectors, they're still in the purchasing circulation, for regular figures though. If youre not a completist, and would just want the popular characters, they' still out there, so grab em while you still can.

Oh man, I suck at playing favorites.

I wanna say all of them, but for the sake of the thread, I'll go with Kyle Rayner. The Horsemen did a top-knotch job (natch), and the accessory compliment was spot on (ring-sword and Kyle's unique power battery).

Mostly though Kyle is just my all-time favorite Lantern, one of my top 2 all-time favorite DC comics characters, and among my 3 all-time favorite comic characters period.

So yeah, I'll go with Kyle.

Nice to know someone else is a Kyle fan and doesn't think that just because Hal came first doesn't automatically make him the best.

I guess for me it would have to be the Superfriends line. I got to have all my favorite characters from the show. Wonder Twins,Black Volcan,Sameria,Apach Chife,El Dorado and even a Toyman Superfriends. I would also say my newest one Fire from the JLI series I always wanted her and Ice and never could fine them. Now if they just bring out Ice before it is over then I be very happy.

My favorite DCUC?

Hmmm...that's a tough one.

But I think I'd have to say "OWLMAN." Getting the Crime Syndicate was freakin' cool. Getting them all at once as a 5-pack was awesome. But the OWLMAN is a real thing of beauty!

I NEVER would have thought I'd ever have a mass-produced OWLMAN figure based on Frank Quitely's design. Too cool for words.

For me there are too many great figures to name, I have TOO many favorites from this fantastic line, but my favorite of ALL TIME would have to be Deadshot from DCUC Wave 9.

My favorites from the original DC Superheroes line include:

Brainiac, Parasite, Cyborg Superman, Kara Zor-El Supergirl, Two-Face, Cassandra Cane Batgirl, Clayface and Catwoman

And more from my large list of favorites from the DC Universe Classics include:

Etrigan, Red Tornado, Aquaman(classic), Deathstroke, Ares, Lobo, Green Arrow(BOTH hooded and classic), Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, The Flash(BOTH Barry Allen and Wally West versions), Black Canary, Vigilante, The Joker, Man-Bat, Forager, Lightray, The Question, Copperhead, Cheetah(BOTH classic and modern), Martian Manhunter, Jonah Hex, Red Arrow, Reverse Flash, Wildfire, Chameleon Boy, Owlman, Superwoman, Catman, The Penguin(Super Powers rendition), The Huntress and finally Ocean Master.

My favorites for the C 'n' C figures are: Solomon Grundy, Metallo, Giganta, Chemo, Imperiex, Darkseid, Ultra-Humanite, Bane and S.T.R.I.P.E.

Just a great line of figures overall. I even bought a CIE Sub with the hopes of getting my hands on that '90s hook hand Aquaman and the Doomsday Unleashed...maybe these figure will see a future release, one can only hope.
