Doesn't a limited production run + exclusivity = rarity???
Anyway, asking someone to give you a $30-$40 figure for $6 is asking a lot don't you think? Maybe I will try that at the gas station tomorrow. "I know gas is $2.25 a gallon, but I thought maybe you could just give it to me for only $.10 a gallon? You know, because you are a fellow driver and all."
$30-$40? Based on what? Scalpers? eBay? Its this kind of mentality that ruins this hobby.
Lava Vader $12.99
Holo Yoda $9.99 or FREE w $25 purchase
Its "Exclusive" to a store, a bunch of a-holes who have never SEEN a Star Wars movie wake up at the butt crack of dawn, drag their 45 year old 400lb butts out of moms basement, got to Target and TRU, buy up all the "Exclusives" a toy that they have no idea what its about or for that matter care, and instead of going into a collection of someone who appreciates it Mr. Scalper screws over the collectors in his area creating a shortage and thus giving them a choice, buy it at an inflated price from this loser or go without.
If I had an extra, I'd sell it at cost plus shipping to help out a fellow collector. I don't as of yet but will keep looking. Holo Yoda might be easier to find.
p.s. anyone who thinks a Lava Vader or Holo Yoda is going to put their kid through collage in 10 years? Needs to be wearing a helmet and ride the short bus.
What is your point??? We all know why the figures cost as much as they do...that wasn't the point. My reply was that it was asking a lot for somebody to give a figure worth that much away at cost. Even if I had 5 of them I wouldn't do it...it's not smart financially and I don't know anyone on this board personally. How do you know the person you are giving it to is not a scalper? You don't. If you think scalpers don't patrol this board and others looking for info you are kidding yourself.
Also, very big of you to offer up the extra Lava Vader that you don't have. Wow, that's so generous....my hero. Wonder if you would actually do it if you had one? Doubt it.
