So the new Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles figures are really great. The instant I saw a TRU endcap full of these guys, I was snatching them up. I'm a huge TMNT fan, and Slash has always been one of my favorites (more-so the Archie comics version than the animated doofus pet of Bebop and Rocksteady) and I had to make him.


Slash has two weapons with tattered wraps. He's got spikes on his elbow and knee pads, spikes on his shell and two different sets of spikes/claws on his hands.His wraps are black and deep brown, he's been given a bunch of grime washing and dry brushing to bring out the sculpt detail, and his weapons/spikes have been given the same treatment to give them a weather, worn appearance. As usual, I made some custom packaging as well:

Like many before me, I really like the new line, but the paint apps are lacking (and the prototypes Playmates showed off originally don't help!) so I decided to fix up a set myself.




I'd like to do some Foot Soldier and Utro....er, Kraang repaints/battle damaged versions soon. And a 6 inch Classics Slash is also on his way. TURTLE POWER!
