I've always admired the quality they put out, but $10 for a single sword is way too much. I realize that's what they have to charge since they're a small, independent outfit, but I can't complain about Mattel gouging fans and then turn around and pay $10 (with shipping on top of it) for a single weapon no matter who sells it. That's why I never ordered the early stuff they made. I don't know what they've offered recently or how much it costs.

They're great. It's no longer $10 for a single weapon, that was before they started producing their items overseas. Like Toyman says, now each weapon pack has three swords, a hammer, and a shield for $20. However, because they're fully compatible with Glyos pieces, they can be taken apart and reconfigured in whatever way you can think of.

I had been going back and forth on whether to buy these or not, but I finally broke down today and bought some. Looking at all the pics out there, and the great combinations of weapons you can make, I knew I had to get some. They're like Legos...but you use them to make awesome weapons that fit perfectly with MOTUC...that's a pretty cool concept. :)

Check out this review, and all of the cool things he made:

That's really cool. It looks like you'd be best off getting two of the same set so you could have matching parts for some of the cool concepts you put together.

Ya, I agree. When I put in my order yesterday, I was thinking about that, so I ordered two each of Doppelganger (orange & blue), Venom (purple & green), Bloodlust (black & red) and Empyrean (red & smoke). I kinda spent a little more money than I wanted to, and have a little bit of buyer's regret, but I had the extra money right now, and I'm sure I'll feel different once I get them in hand and start playing with them.

I'm really excited to see what kind of weapons I can come up with for my Eternian Guards using the Orange, blue and green pieces. :)

Awesome pics, Toyman.

I was thinking that these would look awesome with Draego-Man, and plan on making some weapons for him myself.

Just got my shipping notice today, so I should have them soon. :)

well done with the kratos weapons. i have these because i got the kratos figure a while ago but since i dont display my videogame figures that much, i had to take these of of him because of space issue. now is a good time to dig these out again. by the way i allready got my weapons from spy monkeys. really awesome weapons but after i played a little with it i must say that some piece are hard to put in and what bothers me a little are these holes that are left sometimes. you can cover them but you loose these on other weapons. anyway these weapons are really awesome and i love them. i will order other sets maybe next month when i have more cash. maybe i can convince a guy at my shop to buy some to. so we will save on shipping a little.

I got my package today. It came USPS priority from LA.

It came packed very well, with two smaller boxes inside, surrounded by packing peanuts.

Each set comes wrapped in their own individual baggies, with a sticker of the Spy Monkey logo on each bag.

Here are the five weapons, along with the extra pieces that come in each set:

Here are the pieces that make up each weapon:

I actually found a few more pieces that came off after I took the above photo. The skulls on the Dominar come off, and there was another peg on the Dominar that was a separate piece.

Here are all of the pieces from two sets. It's really amazing the amount of pieces that are in each set, and with two sets like this, it's almost overwhelming to see all the pieces and try to figure out what to do with them:

Here are a few quick weapons I came up with, just playing around with the pieces from the above two sets:

In a lot of the reviews I read and watched, people mentioned how hard these pieces come apart and snap together. They weren't kidding. Just from taking two sets apart, and creating the two weapons in the Faker pics, my fingers feel on the verge of getting blisters on them. I actually had to use a small flat-head screwdriver to separate some of the smaller plugs.

After getting these, I highly recommend getting two of the same color set. It opens up a lot more options for creativity. These are well worth the money.

I'm gonna play around with them some more and see what I can come up with as soon as my fingers stop feeling like they're gonna bleed. @loll@ I'll post pics when I do.
