The clue is from the email that members get from the GI Joe Collector's Club and this is what it says.........................
3 3/4": It is the same clue as last year.
This might be a history loop...but...something old, something new, something foreign and nothing blue.
12":
I keep returning to this vacation spot.

1. They will be expensive.
2. You could customize them at home, or have someone else do it for cheaper
3. Everyone will want red shadows but if you get them, they will be the version you don't like (old school or DDP)
4. No, simply no. You can't afford them, stop even caring.

I don't really understand the deal here. Most of them i've not wanted but they few I have I know i will not be able to afford.
It was only thanks to Toilet Monkey on these boards that i got my prized Destro in a suit (by far one of the best things to come out of the movie)
But why not Just a single figure that's more available. No wasted plastic on packaging, just an unmade army builder in a bag or something with the limit of buying four? sell em for 12 bucks a piece tops. Maybe a Cobra viper repainted In the JVC 1. 5 jungle scheme (i'm talking with fixed arms here)
I'm just overall unhappy with what the club overalls, I know they need to make money, but not only the cost but usually even the product aren't up my ally.
That said the new Dr. Venom looks good... if it ever comes out!

Have you ever been to Joe con before? Really I own all of the exclusives and for the most part im happy with them. Sure their expensive, but these are limited print run figs. The con really doesnt make alot of money off of these guys. The prices are pretty comparable to most other con exclusives, you just get alot more in these sets.
Personally last years set was my favorite, im hoping for new sculpt this year as well.

It's true I have actually never been to a con. i won't be anytime soon. They are expensive! I just ca n't pay that much for toys.
Baring that I really would like a club that offered different things than they do. Extra display stands, extra produced army builders from multipacks (well after the fact of course) etc.

There must have been a problem or delay in getting these out to us on time as Master Collector had stated that they had a problem with a figure that was changed multiple times last year. Perhaps, most likely the timing was off with Hasbro and Master Collector so they scrambled to get us the Crimson Strike Set on a quick deadline. Good part on both, Master Collector and Hasbro, for getting them out and giving is a nice product even though there were only 3 designs used in the process of chaos. I bet that is why we had received notice from the figures so late in the process. Although, this year seems to be late, but not all that bad as it is just now the first month of the year and we are already received clues to the set.
As for the Argen7, they were most likely a sub set from the get go as the extra exclusives for last year. I bet that we will receive the remaining figures (Cobra Invasor, Cobra Mortal and a true Glenda) this year from that set. We may even see a Cobra de Aço from the Brazil line.
Sub-Set Exclusives:
2-Pack: Cobra Invasor & Cobra Mortal
3-Pack: The Black Major, Red Laser & Red Jackal
Vehicle Pack: Quarrel w/ Rapid Fire Motorcycle.
Boxed 15 Figure Set Exclusive:
ACTION FORCE:
Blades - We got him for the 2009 Joe Con.
1. Doulphin
2. Gaucho
3. Hunter
4. Jammer
5. Moondancer
6. Stalker (Not Lonzo R. Wilkinson, but a Snake Eyes repaint)
7. Steeler
RED SHADOWS:
1. Baron Ironblood
3-8. Red Shadows (six of these guys)

I'd love to see Mortal, Invasor and de Aco round out the bad guys, too. Red Laser would be a given, and some kind of Red Shadow, but it'd be cool to see a newly created Black Major in 25th style too. Maybe Red Jackal and Muton too!

The arctic Scarlett & "Quarrel" figures were two different figures. Arctic Scarlett was to go with arctic Cobra Commander in a comic pack. It used different parts of Lady Jaye & Scarlett figure parts. Quarrel was just a straight repaint.

Must have missed that. I don't remember seeing that Scarlett.
Either way, Quarrel needs to be made! And hopefully she's not an "undercover Scarlett" (lame).

Still looking forward to the rest, and I hope some of the attendee stuff at least is 25th style.

Does that Interrogator look like he's in arctic gear? I guess it would be cool to get some additional arctic troops.

I agree. I recently sold off my 2003 set after realizing that I have bought them simply out of the hype some ppl here were making back then. If I am not mistaken, the con sets were 200.
I was happy to sell them off, yet alone sell them for more than what I have paid for because these gi joe con figs are very hard to sell.

I bet we'll see more characters in the con attendees only items.
