G.I.Joe Greatest Battles DVD Boxset

The figures look cool, but they look nothing like the box art. I might grab them though.

i think we have talked about it before but... yeah it's pretty aweful.

One of my favorite designs for stormy and duke, and yet they aren't good at all, or very accurate. The vvv designs on the package clearly don't match the jvc designs in the box and that is incredibly annoying.

1. Duke: Nice try but the green is too bright and he uses mutt's thunder thighs which are in my opinion worse that "duke arms"

2. Stormshadow's oringal feet aren't lost, as they are in the new 5 pack. So why do we keep seeing these legs? they aren't accurate to any version they've been used on. Also why does stormy keep getting his tatoo moved up so we can see it? That flesh should have been white, and then they should have used the old legs, even though i already have a custom so it probably wouldn't have been enough to get me to buy him.

3. Se ... Yawn.

4. CC okay... BLACK can we release this mold in black? please? oh wait too late i already took the time to custimze one. Been there done that. This pack is wasted shelf space.

I won't have to pick this set up, anyone know what's on the DVD?

Yeah...because those figures look just like the picture art on the box. Bravo, Hasbro. Bravo, once again.

Seriously, this set looks like a knock-off. Between this and that new Wolverine 2-pack with Beast we've seen, Hasbro's new style seems to be to make everything look like a knock-off.

I think Hasbro may have missed whatever opportunity they might have had to sell these by not getting them out before the holiday (at least until the movie hype starts). This is the kind of thing that grandma's and aunties by little Johnny when all they know is that he likes GI Joe.

Personally, not really excited at all about this set although some of the painted details on the SE are an improvement.

They'd have been better off including something special, like they did with the DVD packs. Clearly, this is out there solely for the true fan, or someone who has had absolutlely no luck whatsoever finding figures of Duke, CC, SE, and SS. (yes, that was sarcasm)

There is nothing new or unique to this set, so, I'll have to pass also. They really should have paid more attention to their choice of artwork, though, I agree.

It's funny we already GOT that version of Storm Shadow in the "Cobra Legions" 5 pack.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just bought The greatest battle dvd set from my local Toysrus and there were no files cards included? Can anyone confirm whether or not they come with file cards or if I just got a bum deal?

don't have the set, never saw at it retail. But just a thought: maybe hasbro didn't include them because almost all of us have 20 filecards of those characters allready.

I guess that's possible... and on top of that on the Lame dvd in the special features it has file cardesc bios on the main joes and snakes...

I actually thought some looked a little better, Duke, for example, wasn't too bad.

Snake Eyes, I don't care. Storm Shadow looked stupid because he had the webharness AND the sheath sash. Looks stupid (and those are a pain in the ass to get on and off). Cobra Commander made me chuckle because he has that CG holster on his leg but I doubt a gun for it.
