  1. Hi! If it's okay, I wanted to share our website for a convention we're doing in the fall in south-east Pennsylvania called Retro Con. It's a show based around classic toy lines, cartoons, video games, and more. We currently have three voice actors from the original Thundercats cartoon coming: Larry Kenney (Lion-o), Peter Newman (Tygra/Wilykat), and Gerrianne Raphael (Pumyra). They will be available for autographs and pictures. We do not foresee a panel as we currently do not have a room for one. Again, check us out at retrocons.com! We also have a fan page and an event page on facebook. Please look us up and we hope to see you at the show! Thanks!
  2. Gee, stuck up much? Episodes II and III are certainly no match for any of the original trilogy by any means, but they aren't without redeeming value, imo. I've come to accept that it's a whole new ballgame in Hollywood these days, so I'm not really expecting that much from Indy 4. Give the condescending tone a rest. And here I was wondering why I rarely post on forums anymore...
  3. I've seen so many pro and con reviews in just this past two days that it's nuts! I'm ready to just shut it all out, wait till Wednesday at midnight, and hope for the best. I'm sure this movie won't be as good as the previous three films, but as long as it's at least as good as Star Wars Episodes II and III, I guess I'll be satisfied.
  4. You're right, it's not Toht (who I thought it was for many years too). The german spy is actually played by Dennis Muren, special effects artist from ILM. I don't think the character had a name though, he was just some random Nazi bastard.
  5. They still seem to have the best overall price though. One of us (not sure which) just got their $600 refund check direct deposited, so we went ahead and bought one (along with TF Henkei Astrotrain while we were at it). So hopefully now we'll never have to hear another random person ask "So where's the flux capacitor?? Har har har..." And on the costume front, I personally would love to put together a Cobra Viper outfit for myself. I'm just not sure where to begin. I could probably make the helmet on my own, but I'm not sure how I'd make the suit, forearm guards, etc.. Just something I'm mulling over.
  6. Uggg... not liking that at all. I think I'll pass and wait for the Animated toy instead.
  7. Blech!! Not having a very good feeling about this movie anymore. The Cobra characters don't look so bad, but the Joes are a disaster, imo. They look less like a military unit, and more like a high-tech SWAT team. I guess I can take some changes to the character designs, but the all-black look is boring and is done entirely too often. I agree with some of the other posters, this is looking more like "Sigma Six: The Movie". -Tony
  8. I think this recolor looks amazing cool!! So awesome to get a Guardian robot after all these years. I just pre-ordered him from Image Anime. I'm going in with a friend to save on shipping, so it'll cost me $200 altogether. Here's their listing for anyone else interested... http://www.imageanime.com/eextromsub.html -Tony
  9. Hey Chris, Here's how the classic TMNT eps work. They started out with small volumes featuring 5 to 13 eps each, then jumped to larger "season" sets. The sets go Volume 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Then continue on with season 4, season 5, and now season 6. No eps were lost in the switch though, and no episodes repeated either (except for 1 that is). So feel free to jump right in with volume 1, which looks like this... It has the original 5-ep miniseries (which is AWESOME), plus 4 "bonus" episodes from the very last season of the show (which are really really bizarre). I'm a big fan of the show, but I notice that I prefer it in small doses over time. I tried to watch all of the Season 4 set consecutively every night over the course of a week or two, and I got burnt out on it after awhile. Still, lots of great episodes and one-liners. Krang is the best!! "Shwwrreeedddeerrrrrr....!!!" -Tony
  10. Nice to see the response to this news is a lot more positive here than it's been on a couple other boards I've read. Personally I am totally stoked about this!! I'm sure it's just a one-shot deal to gauge interest in a relaunch of MASK, so I don't think staunch Joe fans should be too worried that the line will be overrun by other MASK characters (or other 80's refugees for that matter). And let's face it, Specialist Trakker will probably just take the place of yet another Snake Eyes or Storm Shadow variant anyway, so I don't think there'd be any significant loss. And lastly I'm convinced this figure will be a simple recolor or retool, and not take much away from the development budget for making new Joe sculpts. I just hope the figure actually LOOKS like Matt (preferably in his classic gray and red flightsuit from Thunderhawk) and has an accurate Spectrum mask. And hopefully the figure is popular enough to warrant Hasbro giving us an entire separate MASK figure line in the same 3 3/4" scale, complete with transforming vehicles!! A second renaissance for MASK is long overdue, imo...
