"Underwhelming" is the word that keeps coming to mind for me when I look at this figure.

I loved Webstor as a kid, and he was awesome in 200X, but this figure is just a little too plain for me.

Of course I'll still be getting him, but I would have been more pleased with something just a little closer to the 200X staction.

damn, he looks better then i expected. come on he looks more like the 200x version then the classic version. you guys cant compare this figure with the stactions. i can tell you that the staction will always be better because those were real modern statues. the stactions were made for awesomeness. remember jit-su? look at him. so amazing what they did with him. i am happy with this webstor. sure he could have been more bulcky like the staction but hell he looks cool. who knows where this line goes because maybe mattel will do different versions of a character. they already announced that they do a different zodac. repaint him or whatever. who knows. webstor is a classic figure and he looks great. cant wait to get him.

The only 200X elements on this Webstor are the extra eyes (original had four) and the extra arms attached to the backpack, so I'm not sure why you say this looks more like the 200X version than the '80s version, shokker.

I think he looks great. Glad to be signed up for these. Now I just have to sweat through getting the June, July, and August figures. Smooth sailing after that. :)

I like him too. I was expecting him to be a lot worse they way some who saw the pic early were saying he looked. He's a little different so I think he is a definate for me. Now just bring on Clawful for Christmas and I'm set. haha

Ah brings me back. He's certainly a cool looking figure. How available are these MOTUCs again?

oh this is a definite buy for me hands down. Webstor was the only MOTU I had as a kid so the nostalgia factor right there alone is huge.

He looks exactly like I'd expect - it's too unfair to compare him to his 200X staticon. I think the Horsemen did a great compromize with the extra legs.

Only thing I'm not liking is all the "skeletor-mold" figures we're getting - Skele, MerMan, Zodac, Hordak's feet I think, and now Webstor - but that's how it was in the 80s - the majority of people on Eternia only have 3 toes!

It's cost effective at this point, and that's what Mattel's biggest concern has been from the start. They wanted to get as many different figures as possible out of the existing molds to keep costs down.

I think they can start expanding some, but it's likely that most of these first-year figures were decided upon because of the reusable parts before they knew how successful the line would be. The good part is they're at least thinking about characters who are still appealing, like Webstor who didn't have a 200X figure.

If they continue this next year (only doing the figures because they can be made from existing parts), I'll be a little put off, but for now I think it's fine.

If that's how it was in the '80s, then it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I do have a problem with it in the 25th Anniversary GI Joe line, but that's another story...

I'm loving this figure. Already got my subscription, so it's in the bag for me!

Matty did say that future figures that had their 80s counter-parts share pieces will again. I do not mind the re-use of parts or molds as long as the figure still looks good. They will have to make entirely new sculpts for characters like Modulok or Psyclone
