Storm Shadow looks OK, but not as good as I'd hoped. I think the gray is still throwing me off. Zartan looks OK, too.

Flint, Snake Eyes, and Lady Jaye all look pretty good to me. Shipwreck looks terrible. Hawk is decent. The Joe pack would be worth getting. The Cobra pack I'd probably pass on.

Zartan's armor seems a little weird but not that bad. Is that what the original figure came in?

It's what the second Zartan came in (the same mold as that one). This time it's translucent instead of black.

I like all of these little tweaks and changes. The Baroness is a huge sorely needed improvement. Overall though, I'm just not sure if they're worth the twenty-five to thirty bucks that these sets are going to run.

A couple of questions...

What's different about Hawk?

Have the Viper's wrists been fixed?

Why is Snake-Eyes shooting Timber?

More toon acurate colours (lighter)

Yep. Chrome faceplate too!

Why is Snake-Eyes shooting Timber?

'Cause he's got the rabies! :P

Edit: Damn, too slow!

Yes, Baroness looks better this way. As for Hawk, he definitely has a new paint deco, and he may even have a new head sculpt, but I can't be sure. It almost looks like they replicated his look from the DTC comic 3-pack. And yes, those Viper wrists are fixed apparently.

I can't make up my mind about Snake-Eyes though. Kinda cool, but ahh...his details look a little plain. I prefer the regular release really. Hate the Zartan, and the CC and SS are meh. I think I really like the Shipwreck and Flint, although I don't like how they changed the camo pattern on Flint's pants.

I personally will probably pass on the Cobra set, but the Joe one is tempting to get the Flint and Snake-Eyes figures done right. The long Javalin for Lady Jaye looks nice to.

Same here. I've already got my Joe set on preorder from BBTS. The cartoon-looking Shipwreck and Snake-Eyes were what really sold me on this set.

The Cobra one doesn't really offer up anything new though.

Timber must have Rabies, otherwise why is SE shoting him?

Ole' Yeller made me cry. :(

I really think I'm the only one that does not like the Joe set in the least, but loves the Cobra set.

I actually like the Storm Shadow figure. Because he doesn't actually have any Cobra markings on him, he would look great displayed along with the Hard Master / Snake-Eyes in training gear set. Not I just need to find the Ninja Battles display stand. If anyone has one they are looking to sell, please let me know.

As for Zartan's armor, they are trying to make it look like the original figure's color change gimmik with the film you placed under the window in his armor.

Baroness's head is an improvment. I hated the wind blown hair look of the original. It looks like they took the head sculpt from the Blue uniformed Baroness and used it.

The Viper is nice and the chrome mask looks awsome, but will stand out against the other Vipers in my collection that don't have it, so it is almost a downside.

I think Storm Shadow does have the Cobral symbol (sigil) on him, the webgear is just blocking it as it tends to do on previous Storm Shadows.

If you look at this pic posted last month:

You can see it creeping out from behind the webgear.

Damn, that just ruins my main reason for wanting this set.

The Cobra set is nice, but is pretty much just more of the same of what we've already seen MULTIPLE times in this line.

The Viper is cool with the new helmet...but it's still not much different than the one we've already been given.

I understand what they're trying to do with Zartan...but the Wave 12 one is much better IMO.

Cobra Commander...well...I think we all feel the same about the number of CC's we've received in the modern era line.

The Baroness is very nice. I just don't think this one figure justifies paying for the whole set.

Storm Shadow is just another rehash of the same mold we've seen countless times, in a whole rainbow of colors.

I think these have just enough tweaks to justify getting them.

Viper: Definately need to army build him. Too bad I wasted so much #$%$% money on the crap hand ones.

Zartan: I THINK (no quotes, I can't recall where I read/saw it) the armor has some color change gimmick. I hope that's just wierd colors because the close are too pink.

Cobra Commander's Cape: Hell that's all anyone cares about here.

Baroness: The first 2 versions were utter crap. This one is at least decent, from the pic.

Storm Shadow's Nunchuks: While not as boring as Cobra Commander, there isn't much to say about this figure, other than the new accessory.

Shipwreck: He looks quite different, but hard to tell if its an improvement or not. At least they got rid of that stupid fist. And Polly is worth it if Shipwreck isn't.

Flint: Better late then never? At least he wasn't as expensive as the Viper.

Hawk: I wonder if they fixed his gimp hand.

Lady Jaye: They closed up her shirt. Nothing, really, to say about the figure.

Snake Eyes: Didn't we just get him in that DVD set? At least Timber gets a new mold. I still don't understand why they couldn't add articulation though.
