  1. Thanks for the advice guys. I still feel like my collection is a bit overwhelming and too much for display. I guess I will keep most of it. I have a lot on my plate right now with watching my newborn while I'm not at work. It just amazes me what this hobby can do to us. I know I will be keeping my Modern GI JOE collection MOC as well as my Transformers and MOTU. However, right before posting this I saw a MEGO style Planet of the Apes Gorilla Soldier, and thought to myself, man I gotta get that! What the hell am I going to do with it. I wish I would have stuck to one or two main collections, but if I like a property, it is hard for me not to buy figures from the line. I got to go through my totes in the basement the other day, and besides my main collections I have figures from the Hellboy movies, Planet of the Apes figures, wrestling, Lord of the Rings, UFC (whatawaste! anyone want to buy UFC figures?), DragonBall Z, and some others I can't think of at the moment. I think from my advice from you guys, I'm just going to stick to collecting Transformers and Nic Turtles. I really enjoy the transformers and I have a near complete collection of the Nick Turtles. I wish there was a real easy way to get rid of the various collections and bits and pieces that don't mean much to me anymore. I guess I went downhill when I was single, moved to a city where I knew nobody, and had a decent amount of disposable income. Hey, who doesn't need 16 cobra vipers and 10 BATS? All you single guys better slow your collections down if you anticipate getting married, having a little one.
  2. Hi guys and gals! I have been collecting action figures MOC since the year 2001. I have about 1100 MOC action figures ranging from GI JOE, Transformers, Marvel Legends, DC superheroes, WWE, Ninja Turtles, Lord of the Rings, Masters of the Universe, and The Walking Dead. I just had a daughter and I am preparing to move to another city for work. I am at a serious crossroads, mostly due to moving to a new house. I guess you don't realize how much you accumulate until you move. Over the past few days I have been struggling with what I should do with my collection. I am not hurting for money, so there is no need to sell. However, it seems there is just too many figures. I couldn't possibly display them all MOC without opening a museum, and I don't want to open them because the value would be lost, and I would have to dust them and keep them from shelf diving. Also, being 31 years old now, I don't think it would look very good in my new home. Currently I have about half of my collection just sitting in boxes/totes in my basement. I have one "man cave" dedicated to displaying my GI JOES and MOTU, and a walk in closet in my guest bedroom full of MOC transformers on display. I am seeking advice from anyone who was dealt with a similar situation. Should I just focus on a few lines and sell everything off so that other collectors may pick up items they need, or just hold on to them in boxes / totes, waiting for a day to enjoy them again? Thanks
  3. Sounds like a fun project. I have been collecting action figures for about fifteen years now. I would be open to an interview / meet up if you guys want
  4. Well, looks like we aren't getting a human Karai, but we finally got to see rocksteady, bebop, and demon beavers?? I'm happy that Bebop is male and not anorexic like the previous leaked pictures we have seen. Although, rocksteady looks tiny next to shredder, looks like he has Slash-syndrome. What are your thoughts on what we got to see?
  5. Nice!!! I have been able to pick up three cockroach terminators over the past couple of weeks since I started this thread, still on the lookout for the original though.....trying to army build and it would be nice to have some different looking ones. My area seems to have to gone dry. I saw the cube and picked up Newt, Dojo Splinter, Slash, and Rahzar, but that was like three or four weeks ago now. TRU seems to have not had any new cases lately. I'm looking forward to LARP raph, but might pass on the rest. I did see that they are releasing the patrol buggies individually....picked up raph's and mikey's at TRU
  6. picked up the Target Exclusive Grimlock FOC repaint and Silver Knight Optimus for $25 and got a free $5 gift card
  7. I disagree. The moves are so watered down these days. Why was ECW so popular? Because while wcw and wwf were having matches with sleeper holds and leg locks, Sabu was doing triple jump moonsaults. Do you really think the attitude adjustment is a FINISHER? Doesn't even look like it would hurt anyone. The whole art of wrestling is making it look like fighting, these days it is just a joke.
  8. Thanks for the info guys. I was the first to get to the TMNT cube at my local Wal-Mart, and was able to pick up Dojo Splinter, Newtralizer, Rahzar, and Slash, but no cockroach terminator to be found. I am hoping to army build him, and with this line, who knows, he will probably be all over the place in a month or so.
  9. I don't understand why I have seen so many negative reviews on this movie. I loved it. No more of Sam yelling all the time and Agent Simmons talking about thumper dumpers. I felt like it was constant action.
  10. I finally gave in and started collecting the animated line about two months ago when TRU was having a sale and I have a $10.00 rewards coupon. I got about twelve figures in one shot and then went pallet diving at Wal Mart to get the now-easy-to-find Casey Jones. At certain times I thought I would never see some of the figures and at moments I was excited to pick up Baxter Stockman and Fishface, only because I hadn't been able to find them during my starting period. Well I have seen most everybody now with the exception of one figure: COCKROACH TERMINATOR. Why is he the only one who isn't repacked in cases. I just learned that a repaint of him was coming out soon, and has already been spotted, but I really want an original without paying 30 to 40 for him. Anyone know what the deal is?
