  1. I remember maybe 4 or 5 years back, the "retired" ones were going for lot of money, in some cases over $100. People were hoarding them and trying to get certain ones that might retire soon. But now, they keep creating so many new ones all the time, that their value has gone down. I don't think people are willing to pay more than the retail price for them now. But yeah, back then I can imagine it was pretty tense, especially when it was potential profits that they were competing for.
  2. I agree. No one would think about redoing the Wizard of Oz, because it is a classic. By definition classics stand the test of time, aka they don't need any remaking because they were already made the right way the first time. It seems to me it's just about sales though. If newer generations will make it a box office hit, people will find a way to get it made.
  3. Hey Sully, I know it's a while now since you joined, but welcome from another new member. How do you enjoy your freelancing? I'm hoping to be a freelance writer someday but for now I'm doing some part-time work and some of my own projects. It just seems so ideal to be able to pick your own projects and stay true to your own style and interests, even though it may take a little more work to get by.
  4. Are you referring to that 1-hour premier recap of all the previous seasons? Yeah, that did catch up new viewers on a lot of information, but I would strongly recommend going back and watching the older episodes on DVD if you can. Even though you know what happens, all the details and the subtleties of character development are well worth it. I'm pretty much caught up to date except for a few eps from season 1, and I still intend to go back and watch them sometime. Anyway, I'm a big fan of the show and I can't wait for the new episode this Wednesday.
