  1. And yet no mention of HD Smith. Seriously why didnt they take this opportunity to reintroduce him? Would that have been so complicated? Decent show though. Although Jeff Hardy giving Orton the twist of fate, is a little underwhelming after last weeks awsome finish.
  2. Glad to hear they still plan to do the money in the bank. Sucks about Sid though. I would like to see him make a comeback.
  3. Well I thought they may have something built over the ring in case it rains. But there are two problems with this, they wont be able to build it too high otherwise rain will still get in. And if its too low people in the cheap seats wont be able to see. The arena has plenty of light ( used for concerts and other sporting events, extra excessive light around the ring wont be needed. Part of the draw here is that it is an "outdoor" wrestling event. Also, I was at Backlash 06 and God was just not into the match from the start. Something in the way he walked to the ring, you could just tell he didnt want to be there. He wouldnt even pose for pictures.
  4. My only question is, how are they going to do the Money in the Bank this year? Unless they build some sort of frame around the ring like the Jakks MIB playset, I just dont see them doing one this year. And that sucks, as its been a fave match of mine for the last couple years. You can get a good idea of who WWE thinks can be a main player. Kind of like the old King Of the Ring, but you know no one like Big Daddy V will ever win the MIB.
  5. Im glad to see him coming back. He would make on hell of a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble.
  6. I just got into this line, and I was trying to find some kind of database that lists all the figures made so far. Preferably with pictures. Any help will be appreciated, thanks. The title shoudl be changed to Galactic, I dont know what I was thinking.
  7. I just got the new 4 packs today, and I was going to tell you all about the poster, but it dosnt look like I need to. But I will say up close the Punisher/ Deadpool set looks fantastic. I was really surprised to see the Punisher in his war journal costume. Psylock looks to be leaning backwards. Im guessing she will be a pain to make stand. The Spiderman with the Venom figure is just a repaint of the one from the Scorpion 2 pack. And Doc Ock`s tenticals look to be computer generated in the pic. As for the 4 packs. The Showdown with Magneto set is awsome. All four figures are all new sculpts. I thought Wolverine would have some reused parts, but he dosnt. Colosus can actually hold him above his head for the ol fast ball special. It looks cool if you can get it right. The Battle for New York set isnt as good. Electra is just as boring as you would expect. I like the Punisher becasue they used a glossy paint on all the white, and it really makes it stand out. Ghost rider is much better than the first one. His head is cast in a clear orange plastic, with the skull and a little orange highlight painted on. He has a grey shirt, and the black is more shiney than before, giving it a leather effect. Spiderman is a repaint of the figure fromt he SPiderman playset. However, the paint on both that I saw today was awful. Slop all over even large portions missing paint alltogether. One of them had no paint on his left upper leg, it was just white. The one I got had cleaner paint, but not by much. The black lines are horrible, and you can barely make out the spider on his chest. There are even two white spots on the right side of his face where the paint was left off. Its a shame as this would have been my favorite SHS Spiderman. I also have a question if anyoen can help me out. Well 2 actually. WHy is the Gambit/ rouge 2 pack so hard to find? And was the Kraven/ Black Spidey set ever released? I have the Venom/ Sandman, and the Spiderman/ Volture set from that wave, but I have never seen Kraven.
  8. Is that really the only way to get the arms off? Id rathe rnot cut it if didnt have to. But thanks for the tips anyway.
  9. Ok Im a diehard Joe fan, but for the most part I have been really underwhelmed with the 25th figures. They look nice, but it just seems like Hasbro dosnt want them to be perfect. So I only ever bought the first 2 waves ( I was also unable to ever find the others on shelves.). However my sister bought me the Joe 5 pack for christmas. And again, I was kind of dissapointed with what I got. But anyway onto my question or observation as it were... I was looking closely at the Gung Ho figure, and I noticed something that bothered me. His arms. And no Im not talking about the obvious elbow problems. His upper arms appear to be backwards. Now I know this is kind of hard to explain without pictures ( sorry no camera), so if you have the figure get him out and look at his arms. His triceps detail is sculpted on the front, with his rather small looking biceps being on the back. Now I know you can just flip his arms around, but then there is no detail showing on the outside, as the insides were sculpted flat. I know this wasnt a factory mix up, because it still has the little R and L for right and left on them. So did Hasbros factory just get the peices reversed? And could someone tell me how to take appart one of these new torsos? It could easily be fixed by switching the upper arms. Also why did Hasbro bother sculpting slightly less detialed versions of the same upper arms that Roadblock has? Gung Ho was always portrayed as being a large guy, im sure no one would have complained if they shared the same upper arm sculpt. Im sorry if this has been mentioned before, but Ive kind of fallen out of the Joe loop for the last few months.
  10. A month or so back it was reported that NWA had struck a deal with Dish network to get a weekly show on one of their public access channels. I think it was Colors, but Im not sure. I cant seem to find the post about it now, but I may have looked over it. So anyway, I thought it was supposed to start December the 16th. Again I cant find the post, but that date sticks out for some reason. But I havnt seen it. I have Dish and I get all of those channels, but I have been checking every time slot for as far as I can, and no NWA. Did the deal fall through? Did I miss some report about the show being cancelled or pushed back? I honestly had forgotten about it untill a few days ago. So if anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. I wasnt expecting much from the show, but I cant imagin it would be worse than NWA Wildside, which I used to watch every week just to get another wrestling fix lol.
  11. Boss Man I think was either just signed recently or on the short list of big names they are allowed to go after. Macho man is a possibility down the road. They just sigend Dynamit Kid, so you never know.
  12. The updated No Mercy is coming out sometime next year. I dont know the licensing details but it is happening. Its going to be a downloadable game on the Wii Shop channel, and it will have an updated roster. I dont know if that means that they will be taking out all of the old wrestlers who are no longer with the company ( Most likely) or not. No other details have been announced. But I agree it was the best wrestling game ever. Screw Fire Pro Wrestling. As much fun as those games could be it has possibly the worst control scheme ever. At least on the Dreamcast anyway, I havnt played the new one on PS2 yet. And going back to the topic title, John Cena is ranked as the best becasue hes the top guy in the company right now. Like him or not he has beaten everyone except for the newer people who he hasnt had a chance to beat. Yeah I would say that ranks him higher than everyone else. Although I dont think he tops the Legends, but he should be ranked higher than all the current guys.
  13. If you think he got fat, check out Chris Harris compared to even a few months ago.
  14. Perhaps you dont know this, but in wrestling, when someone is not selling an injury, then its completely common for the other person to actually hurt them. Not only is it common, its something they are taught. Look if you are in the ring with the undertaker, a near 20 year vet in the ring, and you dont show enough respect to sell an injury ( something you are SUPPOSED to be doing anyway), then you would be lucky if all he did was tweak your arm and break your nose. And the same goes for any vetern. Its one of the highest forms of disrespect you can show. And you damn well better belive that he would do that with Khali or Henery.
  15. I got mine today finally and I was worried because of all the horror stories about bent limbs and awfull paint that were coming from He-Man.org. But I have to say, mine is near perfect. Yes there is a little paint missing on his mustache, but its hardly noticable, and not even worth repainting. He holds his sword with no problems. Some were saying you had to force the sword into his hand and it may cause his hand to break. But on mine, his hand could stand to be a little tighter actually. Its kind of loose. I dont like the battle damage on the sheild, but you can turn it so its mostly covered by the cape. The fur looks good on the cape too. But on mine, you can see a bit of the glue around the top. Not really a problem for me. His stand is solid and kind of heavy. It has two long pegs for both feet, and again unlike others, mine fit into the peg holes just fine. He is made of a heavier more solid type of resin than the normal stactions, and he does come in a large box rather than a card. I have no complaints about him, and considering I dont have $200 to spend on the origonal, this is a great buy to me. Like I said, I have seen some of the messed up ones people have gotten on other bords, but mine was fine and I would highly recomend it to anyone looking to add Randor to thier collection.
