MOTU 200X Talk...

Recommended Posts

I figured there is enough 200X fans here to keep a thread going... Post pics of your collection if you have any... I will eventually get to mine once they are out of storage and into a display case... I start off with a question...

Anyone have this set?... How is the slime after all these years?... I am tempted to get it since its only $20...

i loved 200x. sad it just lasted so shortly. i sold all of my 200x figures because i started motuc and i hoped for a more complete collection. well now i regret that i sold them because mattel and i arent the best friends right now. funny because i remember i supported them and i thought shops didnt order them and thats why the line ended so fast but looking at things now i guess all the complaints were right about fans that the distribution sucks with mattel. right now its just the same with motuc. delay after delay, figures lost, false shipping notice, bad qc and the list goes on and on.

Yeah... I never did see Roboto, Evil-Lyn, Fisto and Zodac... It took forever to even find Teela...

I do wish Mattel would make Randor from the 2003 version of MOTU.While I like the Classics version but yes,he does look similar to the Burger King mascot.

Damn... I forgot Randor has a staction... He is now added to my list...

I absolutely LOVE 200x MotU. How I wish they redid them with better articulation. I was lucky enough to find everything at retail, even all the supposed unreleased figures; I sold all my carded figs but kept the loose ones. Trap Jaw is the best sculpted action figure of all time, imo. He's a thing of beauty.

The Slime Pit is great fun! I'm sure the slime will be o.k. as it's sealed. I'd definitely recommend it. :)

200X is kind of dead to me because of the cartoon. The cartoon was a fantastic series that ended too soon. With the death of the cartoon came my end with the fascination. I do have some figures and stuff and I do like but when will someone continue where the toon left off.

I was so damned pissed off when they abruptly killed the show and the toyline ..They had the snake men storyline coming and then they up and died..I remember the toy books showing the new snakemen related figures that were to come out

Now the new Thundercats sound like 200X

I have that. I even have the slime and it's still unopened. I pretty much managed to get all the figures with the exception of a few that were only released overseas at the end of the line. The Spitbull was the last thing I managed to get from the line in stores. Also picked up all the Stactions as well. I actually need a new shelf for all of them as the one they're currently on is proving to be pretty flimsy, but at least I have them all out. I have a container with a bunch of doubles that are still on card too.

Loved the line but it was a ***** to find the figures!

I still have 2 of just about everything.

Still haven't bought the Keldor figure but thats by principle....still mad that I didn't get him at Chicago when he came out.

I'll have to post that story in the near future.

That next storyline was going to be AWESOME..........King Hiss comes into power, the Masters on the run, and the best --> Skeletor was eventually going to beat Hordak and I sooooooooo wanted to see that. Screw you cartoon network. I love the idea that Skeletor beats Hordak. My favorite scene from the original toon was SKeletor fighting back Horde Prime during that awful Christmas special, think about, old bone head fought back the Horde leader....hell yeah!

When the show died so did my interest.

Why did it die? was it the ratings? I think the toys sold pretty good, that's why it was hard to find anything...but everyone keeps blaming Mattel on distribution.. if that was true, why are they still in business? Maybe the Barbie line keeps saving their butts.. @grumpy@

My 200X Roboto broke at the hip joint. Great sculpt though, and it really sucks that none of this is incorporated into MOTUC.

That's why i keep mine mosc... they look and last longer in package... @hmmm@

It probably "died" due to it's time slot. In my area, It was shown on Sundays at 10 pm.

Mattel fumbled the toys and Cartoon Network destroyed the show like they do all the good ones they get. I never knew when the show was coming on, I only caught it every once in a while.
