  1. I emailed them basically this question, the answer I got was: "We're hoping to release the Raven figure and it's variant versions in time for the 2013 San Diego Comic Con. Keep your fingers crossed for us." So please, cross your fingers, I want some of these figures!
  2. I think that even if they were to limit the amount you could purchase, they (the retailers) would only form small groups with the same info to buy more of the smaller shipments. Prices would go up on ebay because of higher shipping, and the servers would just be even more crowded and useless. I think Digital River and Mattel need a better online set up. Or only sell one figure every five minutes. So we all have time to get on the site and purchase. I doubt that will happen.
  3. Even if it was "Quantity of 2 Max", the servers wouldn't really be in better shape. If anything it would be more bogged down because retailers would be be using multiple machines to buy quantities of 2 faster. I dont think there is a win situation for this.
  4. Faker for the win! First real chance to get the figure, Im excited!
  5. Prince Adam is a big "Yay!" in my book. Especially since Adora is out.
  6. but you'll get every fig. you won't have to worry about sell-outs. you can sell the figs you don't want for more than you buy them at. anyway, either buy it or don't buy it but stop complaining. mattel offers a subscription service so you can get every fig. if you choose not to get it, then why complain when the remainder of the sub figs sell out? Stating that $450 is a lot of money isn't complaining. Its stating a fact. If I was rolling the dough Id just buy the figures from every retailer on Ebay. I agree with Crow, its a huge commitment. But I understand why its done. So no complaints, just assessing the situation.
  7. Maybe we will luck out and they will have a "Build your own Subscription". Just go through and check all the ones you want or can afford. I know I dont really have any interest in the giant figures. The beasts are cool, but only have an interest in Panthor. Maybe they have a system. I often believe they do the subscription just so they know how many to make. They dont want another 2002 incident on their hands. Anyone for 30 versions of power armor Skeletor? Okay, seriously though, if all they want is to know how many of what we want, then why cant we create our own subscription. They could make a "umbrella" subscription and you get to pick out your figures. I think it sounds cool.
  8. When I spoke to Mattel today, they said they had more of the MOTU stuff going to Toys R Us. The only reason she told me was because she was looking to see if it was one of the items I was speaking about. My assumption is it is the DC/MOTU two packs. Good luck. I got the Luthor/Skeletor pack, but the Superman/Heman is being very evasive.
  9. I understand your frustration, believe me I really do. I've been put in this situation twice now. I waited 15 minutes to purchase Evil Lyn and then got nothing in the end except a "Sold Out" sign. I called Digital River and Mattel and explained to them my frustrations, and gave them some advice on what would make the experience better for us consumers and not so easy for retailers. I do not enjoy missing an opportunity to buy something for half of what its going for on Ebay. We do have to be careful not to send the wrong message if we complain. My only issue is the ability to buy 10. If it were a smaller number it would help all the collectors be able to get a few more for display. (I open and display mine.) Keep an open mind though, if we do that, then retailers would just get larger groups together to hit the servers even harder. I do think Ill do the subscription next year. It seems like a good idea.
  10. 15 minutes in que, from 11:50 am till 12:06 pm, Evil Lyn was sold out.
  11. I called both Digital River and Mattel today to complain about the fact that I sat in the "que" for 15 mintues, from 11:50 till 12:06 waiting for Evil Lyn, only to have the Sold out sign flashed at me when I arrived at the page. I was very frustrated, and I am not spending the way to high prices on Ebay for this figure. If you guys really want to change, then stop buying overpriced figures. Ban ebay sales of MOTU by not buying them. Also call Mattel and let them know how you feel about being cheated. Currently the Purchase 10 option should be dropped. Who are they really wanting to sale to? The consumer aka the collector, or the ones who want to monopolize the market and make money. Im not buying until a re-release. Screw spending $50 on a $20 piece of plastic. It wont change unless your heard, so be heard people.
  12. 1. What item(s) have you bought or tried to buy from Mattel/MattyCollector.com So Far I have ordered Skeletor and Merman. 2. Are you in the United States or a International customer United States 3. What overall grade do you give Mattel/Mattycollector.com in regards to your experience with them; A, B, C, D or F. I would give a B. I had an issue once with being overcharged, and called Mattel to fix the matter, and they cleared it right up. It is frustrating at times to order online, especially with Merman because the website was acting very odd. But honestly, I have no major complaints. I love the figures and the opportunity to order them alone is enough to keep me coming back for more.
