this news really sucks.

I definitely want the 7 packs.. but I definitely don't want to order them from an online retailer.

this is pretty much a cluster***

all those figures are highly desired by the fans. They should be on single cards. And they should definitely be available at retail....

these figures are some of the best offerings from this line over the last year, and they are online only? great job losing money there Hasbro.

You would think that they would single card them considering how well the line has done. Everytime they do a multi-pack thing, I become concern that the figures aren't released solo because they are not of a high quality...

I donno about that quality issue.. the most recent 5-packs were some of the very best figures they have done in this style.

I was really surprised by the quality of my figures. They were all really sturdy, had tight joints, and pretty clean paint.

I guess what I mean is that their putting the figures in a multi-pack because they don't think they will sell well as a single carded figure. I would assume that they would want to release figures a much as possible on single cards to make more money.

right... that is exactly what I am saying. These figures are wanted, badly, by fans.. much more than many of the idiotic repaints and sub-par figures we have been getting the last few waves.

so why not put these guys on single cards?

There hasn't been a damn new figure since christmas! WTF man, are they really going to make us go until July or whatever without anything new?

I'm with Clam. This blows! And if they're online only, you have to automatically thrown in for S&H, on top of whatever inflated price the retailer wants to charge!

I'd almost be willing to gamble they will eventually make it to single cards, though. After everyone schills out the cash for the packs. Like they did with the original 5-packs and some of the comic packs (Tripwire, for one - wait, maybe that's the only one... but still!)

Well if these are sold the same way as the last 7-packs, that means they will be offered through Diamond which means besides etailers you will be able to buy them at comic and specialty shops as well, so it wouldn't just be online.

Here is a straight answer. I think this was on Joe battle Lines.
3. Along with the movie vehicle line, will we continue to see Classic vehicles such as the Tomahawk, Wolverine, Snow Cat, and other fan favorites?

You will continue to see a mix of new tooling and classic vehicles in the GI Joe line. The Snow Cat for example is coming….

I really don't understand all the crying over these being online exclusives. At least we all have access to them this way...I don't get what the big deal is.

I think the problem is that on line stores will sell out of these very quickly.I am not very happy with the idea of 2 7 packs. There are figures in the pack that are great and some I don't like. That was why I didn't get the "best of the 80's"DVD set.I didn't want to spend 20 bucks for one figure(Alpine in that case). They said these are going to by higher in price then the Extreme Condition sets.At least we are getting the vehicles which is very good news.I want my Stinger.

Right now I'm confused. I see a lot of people whining that these are online exclusives but at the same time I'm always see guys here go on and on about how they only order things online. So is the problem here that they're Online Exclusives or that we just aren't getting these figures individually carded? Because to me it seems that people want these just not all of these and esspecially not at a higher price than the artic and desert packs (which were between $30 and $40). I bet these price at $50 and if it's any indication from SW online exclusives then these wind up at TRU sometime about a year after they actually come out.

Well, if they have to be exclusives, it's better that they are online exclusives than TRU exclusives. Every time there's a TRU exclusive I want, I have three options: drive 300 miles to the TRU in Spokane, WA, go to ebay and pay inflated prices, or bug people here to get them for me. :(

The reason, IMO, these aren't singles is that they planned to be, originally, but with the movie stuff gearing up they changed their minds. But they still needed some product available UNTIL the movie stuff comes out.

I don't know how well that logic works since Transformers is done and won't put out new product until the movie.

Well two reasons:

1) Quality: If the quality on these things were better, people wouldn't have as much trouble getting them online. The first time I saw the 2 enivronmental packs, the paint apps were crap. So, had I ordered those sets online instead of seeing them in stores, I would have gotten crappily painted figures.

2) PRICE: Online exclusives tend to be quite expensive compared to seeing them in B&Ms. And THAT doesn't factor in shipping costs. When I went to search for those afforementioned environmental packs, one online store had them at $25.00 each while all the others had them at $50 each. Had those been in store, they would have been about $25.

what? you must have gotten dumb or something.. @lol@

seriously, ask me for ANYTHING that you can't find up there in the mountains or whatever.. I will be happy to send you whatever you can't find... no bugging required, no inflated prices. cost plus shipping for my good friend.

(this offer only goes for Joe and my other good friends... it may be available to others on a case by case basis... However, if you voted for Obailout.. . forget it)

Another concern for me raised in all of this is the "not what your expecting" aspect of the dailtone figure.
Female anyone? not something i want. I would love a firewall, dr. Knox, Munita, mayday, or classic covergirl (i'm sure i'm forgetting some) even another baroness or phythona, but please no "Starbucking" hasbro!

I'm thinking they're talking about him being released in the movie-style outfit. They made a similar comment about some other figs they were talking about in another Q&A post. (BTW, all the sites posts can be accessed from General's Joes - they are nice enough to collect them together when they come out)

I'm hoping that its the Ol' switcheroo and that Hasbro thinks we are all anticipating a female Dialtone becasue of the recent comics and they are giving us a classic look instead.
