A buddy just informed me that he will be going to SDCC and going by the Mattel booth for the Ghostbuster exclusive. He don't do DCUC so he will be getting me a Zen, Jaina and Gleek. I'm pumped.
I'm utterly uninterested in the Wonder Twins issue. People should be glad they're getting the twins at all, even if it is without Gleek. I did eventually get Keldor, but I never got She-Ra...
The Ghostbuster exclusive on the other hand, is a big PASS. They said they're doing a non-slimed version later that will have a PKE meter. That's two advantages over the SDCC version. I don't care if the later version doesn't have Slimer because I still have my NECA Slimer and the Mattel Slimer looks terrible by comparison.
D'oh! Now I'm not sure if I want to get the ghost busters one or not cause I'd much rather have him with the pke!
Here's the quote:
"[Question] As for the Ghostbusters exclusive announcement, it looks like Spengler has been slimed. Is this deco an exclusive for San Diego, or is this *the* Spengler that we’ll be getting in the Ghostbusters line? Will this figure (or a non-slimed Spengler) also be available on MattyCollector.com after the show?
[Answer] Yes, this deco is for the convention and as will all of our SDCC product, it will be available online shortly after the show.
We do have another non slimed Egon with a PKE meter coming down the line, but since Mr. Ramis was the first actor to sign for likeness rights, his is the first figure in the line. He is slimed to make it special for SDCC (and since he comes with Slimer!)"
