  1. $30?????? Man, Mattel and NECA really want to make a profit on this. A ridiculous one at that.
  2. The new figure will probably look like Dolph Lundgren and then Mattel will be 20 years too late to sell that version of He-Man. A new MOTU movie is still fairly slim in my eyes. The possiblity of it under Woo was hampered by various script rewrites so who is to say that the same thing won't happen again under Silver's helm. Solution, get an actual MOTU fan who understands the lore and characters to write a script instead of a hollywood yuppie who has only written indie flicks about clowns tossing flapjacks.
  3. It comes as no surprise. Mattel likes to pull the rug out from under us concerning MOTU. Screw 'em.
  4. You basically need the kind of email address you'd get as a subscriber to your internet service. If you are going to a college and have a college email that will work as well. That is how I registered.
  5. I'm only on board for this if only the figures are available at all retail outlets. If it's just another one of those online exclusive/comic book retail BS with figures overpriced at $30 a pop, no thanks. That is the main reason why I've never even bothered trying to find any of the stactions since there is only ONE comic retailer collectors place up near me and it NEVER gets stuff like this.
  6. LOL!! I agree. What did the most damage to the MOTU line a few years ago WAS the overabundance of just He-Man figures more than any of the other characters. I remember that the old wal-mart up near me (a super wal-mart exists in it's place now) had just pegs of Jungle Attack He-Man and standard He-Man for a very loooooooooooong time. I never want to see that shelf warming nightmare again if Mattel is indeed doing another MOTU figure line for this or next year.
  7. I want to get excited but finding it hard to. Due to poor sales of the first Batman wave of the DCSH line from last year my local wal-mart, target and k-mart dropped them all together. They don't carry many Mattel based action figures. So, if a new MOTU in classic style toyline is on the horizon, I just hope my local stores ACTUALLY give it a decent chance instead of not restocking a line if it doesn't sell. A Scarecrow from last year still dangles at my local wal-mart as the only figure from the DCSH line in my area. I got jipped on getting Kara Supergirl since she never was ordered for up here. Hopefully, this isn't the same fate for a new MOTU line. My area sucks when it comes to finding figures I like.
  8. *jaw drops** That.....thats a new figure in the style of the classic He-Man. Can...can this possibly mean Mattel is going to wise up and do a revival line of the classic MotU complete in classic style appearance???? Is this possible for them???? And will wal-marts, k-marts and targets actaully carry them so my visits will ACTUALLY yield something???? I'd totally buy that He-Man figure.
  9. Not bad, not bad at all. And you got Teela to stand on her own. That takes a feat of engineering.
  10. The Variety writer who wrote the article is obviously a chode. He has never watched a He-Man thing except the 1987 movie and basing all of his assumptions on that movie and what other people like him say about He-Man. My advice: Chodes who don't like He-Man or don't know their facts shouldn't write articles about MOTU.
  11. The dvd companies can shove it. Just make your own bootleg dvd copies for your own personal viewing, I say, since it is going to take the dvd companies forever to bring the MYP MOTU series an "official" dvd release.
  12. You'd figure if it was site maintainence there would be a placeholder page saying so but all I get is the MSN search page claiming it has never heard of the site. Anyone in charge of He-Man.Org lurking about want to give us the scoop on why the site is down, I was about to check the forums.
  13. 'The Shaping Staff' and his appearance in there was very uninspired and cheap. Faker basically looks exactly like He-Man in that ep except he has glowing eyes. According to the interviews off of the dvds, Lou Scheimer and others claimed that they had plans on having Faker in his normal colors but decided against it since it would cost too much to make an entirely new character design for the budget they were on.
