Here's a DC-styled animated version of the new Captain America 'Super Soldier' from Marvel. I used a Superman/Batman Public Enemies body, lower legs from an air strike Wolverine, and the head from a Spawn Redeemer. The straps, chest emblems, and other details were sculpted using Aves Apoxie sculpt, the most durable 2-part self-curing modeling compound out there. Then came the line work and symbol painting, whew! His shield magnetically attaches to his back and right hand.

If you haven't already checked out Onell Design Glyos system figures do it now! They're cool little 2-inch figures with interchangeable pieces so you can build amazing designs or just have the characters chilling in your pocket. I got to thinking, wouldn't it be cool to have the characters hanging out in the Marvel/GI Joe universe too in 1:18 scale? So I 'expanded' them a bit to fit! The base body is a comic series Movie Iron man or Marvel Universe Iron Man with the Glyos system head, hands, chest, and feet. Apoxie Sculpt was used to recreated the chest armor sculpts and various GI Joe pouches/belts were added for the particular characters. Now each Glyos is super articulated and ready to enter the 3 3/4" universes!
I'll be making the rest of the Glyos characters and in basically the same way. Here's Pheyden, Phanost, Exellis, and Sarvos done 1:18 scale.

While browsing all the Republic Commando Delta Squad figures I go to thinking, I wonder what modern Stormtrooper Delta Squad figures would look like? Based on that idea I cooked up this bulky, power-armored Stormtrooper using a regular Stormtrooper, cast head from Slayer Design Studios, lower legs from a MARS robot, and the left arm from a Patlabor Helldiver Revoltech. A bunch of fodder armor, some sculpting, and weathered paint job later, Delta Squad commander was done! Check out the last pic in the strip, there's some homage there, heheh.
