  1. I am just hoping to see the Stinger come out, I'd even be happy if it was an internet only item. My fear is that it will just go away.
  2. I love this, both sets are great. Going to be a troop building dream.
  3. I am an Army Builder. So yes, I buy multiples of troops and multiples of vehicles, yet my buying habits aren't even a blip on Hasbro's radar. I would wager that many of us can't possibly be a big enough buying force that we can effect Hasbro's retail toy plan. So have we gotten to much or much more than we can handle, I would say no. If Hasbro wasn't making money, believe me, this line would have gone the way of the Dodo. I personally have a hard time finding new waves on the shelves and I can't say that is all do to adult collectors snagging them up. While we may buy much more than a child can, we can't be the only ones keeping this line alive. If we are then somebody at Hasbro has made a huge mistake. In this economy keeping a toy line alive for collectors is totally insane. So while it is a great ideal to think about, I don't feel Hasbro is spewing out so much product to sate just us collectors. As far as our own personal collections, if you can't utilize your collection as you would like then maybe your collecting habits need to be re-evaluated. None of us can risk loosing our significant others, our homes or our lively hoods over a collection of plastic toys. If you are running out of space or cash then scaling down would make the best ideal.
  4. I don't see these as a cancellation. Hasbro has already made the test molds and it seems the production molds as well, so why would they cancel them all together. I am betting we will see these released sometime next year. Hasbro is not going to turn down an easy money making release like this. So i guess we all just need to sit back and wait this out.
  5. You know I have been hearing that from several other collectors. It seems that many just want one or two items from this set and would rather buy them individually from another source rather than buy the entire pack. I purchased just one and opened it. I like the entire set. I didn't have a Mobat, and I had only one red Hiss; so I really wanted this Battle Pack. I guess everyone who collects must make the choice to pick this up or not.
  6. The UBP sold out yesterday at the Target near Cleveland, my brother went there and they were all gone. Well he asked one of the employees and was told that they will have more arriving this week and he would hold one back for him. Target is in the retail service to make money so most of the employee's have been told to do what they can to make the customers happy this Christmas season. There should be plenty of these out just keep looking. Samantha
  7. Found the Ultimate Battle Pack at a Target here in Cleveland, Oh. I now have my $62.95 Zap. The employee at the store said they have several still in their store room and will be stocking new figures and vehicles on Thursday night. Black Friday here we come. Samantha
  8. Oh my, That is the most amazing looking collection I have ever seen on E-bay. I really wish I had that kind of cash to drop. It is a thing of beauty to see that much vintage in one place. A truly great collection Samantha
  9. Kohl's 2 day sale Friday and Saturday only Kohl's is having a 2 day sale on almost everything in the store, what does that mean to you? The sale includes 15% off all action figures plus if you use your Kohl's card they will give you another discount based on your total purchase amount. I stopped in at the Kohl's store in Avon, Ohio and picked up all the figures from wave 10 I was missing plus a Clear Blue Wraith. The normal retail is $9.99 per but with the sale and bonus I receved I paid just over $5.50 per. It sure was nice having an empty Kohl's store credit card on hand. So if you need any of wave 10 try to pop in at the Kohl's near you.
  10. OK, here is the way I have always seen it. You start out P.O.'d at the way the world has let you down. I mean what kind of government rewards people for sitting at home and watching "Jerry" while you bust butt stocking shelves at "Name-less-Shop Co". How unfair is it that a "name your nationality" can get free college while the legit citizen has to struggle to get educated beyond high school? Let I not remind you about all those fat executives with all those so called “golden umbrellas”. Oh and don't get me started on the endless number of bosses who enjoy keeping you down in the trenches. So while B.Sing in the break room one of your co-workers tells you about this cool underground thing going on. You have also heard about this group of guys too but have no ideal how to join up. All you know for sure is that they are getting fat checks and great benefits. I mean, come on we need to take it all back from the “man”; he is the reason we are so beat down and living paycheck to paycheck. So like I said, you decide to take it back and this group of week-end warriors has it going on. They have it right. They understand how to get their liberties back. The system failed them just like you and you are tired of it, so just like the pioneers who fought against England, it is your time too join the rebellion. So you do a little internet search and attend a Cobra chapter meeting. After chatting it up you decide this is for you and all you have to due is train to be a, um what did they say again, Oh yea a "Viper" that’s what they call it. You are also told that if you survive the training and last a little while, you will get a promotion, that is when you get good enough. They tell you that when you advance you will become a true Cobra Trooper. Once you make the rank of Trooper you can begin to develop your skills even more and become what ever it is you wish in the service of that guy with that crazy silver face plate, mask thing. This is going to be fun even though you have to give up a few week-ends and maybe once in a while, plug some dude called a "Joe", but you make some "Fat" checks and get to play with some crazy stuff, and if your real lucky maybe cap that ex boss of yours. C_O_B_R_A All that is required is to sign on some line and occasionally say an “All hail Cobra”, but who wouldn’t do that for a decent dental plan. I hope my story helps everyone. I see the Vipers as the week-end warriors initiate and the Cobra Trooper as the true grunt that has been sold on the Cobra party line.
  11. The price shift is more due to the price increase of manufacturing. Hasbro may be making a little more profit but I don't think it is that much more. I do remember buying a Sky Hawk for around $7.95 at Hill's Department Store when it was released, wow that was a long time ago.
  12. I love the Hawk. I am looking at picking up 5 of them. I loved the original Sky Hawk and always wanted a small air fleet of these guys, now I can have it. The Sting Raider I will pass on, I never really cared that much for it.
  13. These little Joes are so darn cute. Little Timber is adorable and Cobra Commander is very nice too. I know many of you won't get behind these little guys and that is OK. They are aimed at children and their cute factor doesn't make them appealing to many older collectors. I just hope that kids find them worthy, it will be the children of today that will become the collectors of tomorrow. With a little luck these guys will provide the spring board needed to jump start many new collectors. I think I will enjoy these guys.
  14. Um, what? OK, I know it is not worth the time it will take me to type this but, either you have a very bad taste of humor or you are just plain mean. The world is financially spiraling out of control, people are loosing their jobs and homes, the planet is melting down and you think a scalper is the fall of E-bay. You really need to get educated. Scalpers are a part of the system, like them or not, they serve a purpose. If you hate them so much don't buy from them. Oh and one finale point no one deserves to be hated. Hate breeds hate...
