  1. It is an interesting rumor, but I can't see DC making another GL insane. After the crap storm the last time, do they really want to do it again? Plus I think Johns has a plan for Kyle in "Rebirth", which doesn't has him becoming a villian. I'm still leaning towards Zatanna or Plastic man, personally.
  2. Milehighcomics.com, and Lonestar comics(don't know the address) both have online back issue catologes(sp?). Also check ebay, try using search words like full, run, set, ect.... I just completed a full run of the current JLA series. I used online comicbook stores and local stores to give me an ideal price range, then used ebay. I would not expect anyone to sell issues 0-96 in one auction, but you might be able to pick up sets like 0-8, 9-15, ect. Picking up smaller sets is sometimes cheaper than buying one large set or all the issues individually. Good luck collecting.
  3. Fantastic start !!!!!!!!! Poor TM, can't hold down a job to save his life. The zookeeper pic is particularly funny. Keep up the great work. BTW who else wants to take a road trip to Draven's Adult Book Store?
  4. I'd love to play just need to sign up for Yahoo.
  5. I don't mind Hasbro reusing accessories, what bothers me is when characters don't have accessories that fit their specialty. For instance if we ever do get another Lifeline, he should at least come with some sort of first aid case and maybe a pistol. Lifeline should not come with Sandviper's rifle, a sniper rifle, a knife, and a generic handgun. I can understand cutting cost, keeping things affordable and making a profit, but accessories, particularly appropriate accessories are important. When I purchase a product I expect that product to have its appropiate parts. Why should I have to customize a product I just purchased, so that said product can perform its intended function? My understanding was Hasbro is going to try and make sure figures get the appropriate gear by reusing old stuff and creating some new pieces for each wave. However we will not see a new figure get completely individualized equipment ever again. And I'm cool with that. just my 2 cents... end of rant
  6. I agree Batman needs a Robin. Just recently one of books explained that Batman trains Robin(s) so his work will continue on after Batman(Bruce) is gone. I picked up a copy of the newest Detective Comics (I think its 796) this weekend. Wow, this book was good. For those who don't like Steph as Robin give it a try. I'm not saying I want Spoiler as Robin forever, but as long as she is written this way I can live with it.
  7. A lot of people think Spoiler's days are numbered with the big crossover coming. I share your p.o.v, Grail. I like Spoiler but I don't like Spoiler as Robin. I think ramification of War Games shouldn't who dies but rather Batman becoming further estranged from the GCPD. But if someone has to go, personally I hope Tarantula bites the bullet in War Games but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  8. Well I kinda cut myself short on time, so I don't have time to find and load a picture (I'm leaving in about 2 hrs for Florida). I did make a name tag, however. Anyway I hope to see everyone after registration.

    It Has Begun!

This is something that really needs to be handled in PMs. While I empathize, Elwampa, this topic is not the place for this discussion. Also like Thing said the Trader Feedback Forum is available.
  10. I was thinking about the current runs on Batman and to an extent Superman. Bringing in a new writer every 6 issues or 12 issues certainly has advantages. You can have the hottest current writers on your book, and have constant influx of fresh ideas. However I think you can miss out on having long standing subplots and cause continuity glitches, if you don't have a regular writer. For me I would prefer a writer stay with a book for 2 to 3 years before moving on, I think you get better story telling and character development that way. However with a strong editor, you could still have a pretty good book having a flavor of the month writer. I apologize in advance if this has been already discussed before
  11. I realize a sliding scale would have to be used, and the industry is in bad shape. I guess I'm just wondering where is sliding scale is at this time for company like Marvel or DC? (Well there is no like about it, they are the only big 2.) It seems my original guess would be too high and maybe 10-15k is more accurate. Does this sound right to anyone else? I am by no means looking to live or die by any numbers given here, just curious as to other opinions or thoughts.
  12. With further research I stand corrected the tickets were about $52.00 (I know she told me $72.00 originally but since we didn't pay for them I could careless). Thur Mastercollector (I just looked at the brochure) it was $92.00 for adults. Nevertheless, as cool as space may be I could not justify spending that much.
  13. Superman 205 was #2 at like 205k, but Ast X-men was #1. This list is pretty interesting. It makes me wonder, what is the mininum number that needs to be sold to keep a book from being cancelled? I realize the smaller companies like Mirage or Devilsdue probably have a different required number than say Marvel and DC, but the big 2 are what I'm interested in. X-static gets the axe soon and it sold about 23k, so does selling somewhere between 25-30k keep a book off the chopping block?

    Wave 3

It probably depends on your phone, but with mine under my camera options there is an option that says "Send Pix". Once I select that option I can either pull an email or # from my contacts or manually enter an email or #. I'm looking forward to using my phone at convention to quickly take pics and send them to people. Ahh crap... BTW congrats on finding wave 3
  15. I got 2 free tickets from some family so I am going while in Florida but not with the convention. I never would have paid full price for things. 72.00 bucks a piece, I could see 25 or 30. On the bright side I believe on Wednesday they are launching a satellite into space, so that would be cool to see.
