  1. I agree. With wave 11, I waited until it was available on Matty to buy, thinking I'd be doing my part to keep that option going. But I did run across the full set at Wally before it was available on Matty. Bearing that in mind, when I again found wave 12 before Matty even had a sell date, I said to myself, 'might as well save on shipping' and bought it. If Matty had the waves up for sell at the same time as the retailers, I'd go with Matty 100%, if only to save on gas, and anxiety at getting the whole wave. Guess I'll wait and see how 13 plays out.
  2. I'd love to have your problems. Still no sign of this Wave 12 around these parts. Hell, no sign of Wave 11 for that matter. Did you order a set from Mattycollector or any of the other online sites? Heh - while that was my original plan, I was so amazed to find the full set at Wally, and after last month's fiasco with Matty's sale (adding to the paranoia), I just coudn't pass it up. Plus I saved on shipping. That too. Just something I'll have to live with...
  3. I'd have preferred the normal, but found the GITD one first. Consumed by paranoia that I might never see one again (ie Artemis, wave 8 and 9) I bought it. Opened it. A week later a found several of the regular version. Oh well...
  4. Meh. Knock yourselves out. Thankfully, I can easily live without any of them. Unlike Nick Fury.
  5. Tough call. I grew up with Hal as the prominent GL, but also am old enough to have enjoyed Alan. In fact, I think I knew Alan's origin before I knew Hal's. But If I had to make a choice, I've always prefered Hal. Maybe because Alan is from my parents' era, but Hal is the one who made it into SuperFriends and such. More exposure, I guess.
  6. Got my Supergirl/Lex. Really surprising considering how my area always seems to get things last. Passed on the GLs for now, or at least until I can rationalize having a second Hal. What really shocked me though were that the DCUC/MOTUC 2-packs were there also. No interest in them, and I don't think they go well together other than for height. Two different body sculpts really is apparent when packaged together like that.
  7. I'm looking for some creative ideas of how to display figs on a shelf, with a tiered effect. For as little cost as possible. I've seen some great methods, like the expandable spice rack, empty tape cases, and such, but with the amount of figs I have, those kind of ideas will easily run into the hundreds. So I'm wondering if any of you free-thinkers have any cheap ideas to getting that effect. No idea is too silly or weird. (like when I caw someone use empty cassette cases, I was like, DUH! wishing I hadn't thrown all those away !) Thanks in advance!
  8. On a related note, but not really worthy of it's own topic, I would like to have a bunch of the Bespin troops, witht he use of head swaps, and was wondering if anyone's gone that route yet? So far, with what's available on shelf, I figure the Willrow Hood might fit the one dark-skinned fella, and hopefully the hat too, but has anyone found any other good head swaps?
  9. I was going to wait for Matty to have the set online, but I ran across them at my local Wally, and as it was a full set, went with it. Saves on shipping, and the potential clusterf*ck that the Matty store has become on ordering days. My only regret is I got the glow-in-the-dark version of the Spectre, which I guess is lucky, but I really would have preferred the solid white version. I'm crazy like that! Also, Mary Batson's package pose made it so I had to do the boiling water routine to correct her 'polio'. But that's not really a complaint, as I'm more than happy to have her! (just be prepared) Oh, and I was boggled by Darkseid's legs until I figured out that one of them's thigh was turned 180 in the package. If you looked at your and thought something was off, just turn his thigh 180, and that should do the trick. (if this is a production issue, anyway)
  10. All that they really need to do is go back to the 25th update style that kicked this line off. I have seen little to no movement of the movie figs, even at the lowered prices. But I bet if Hasbro went back to the 25th update theory that flew off the shelves, they'd be back in the saddle again.
  11. Picked these up at a local Wally today. Funny thing was, Black Widow scanned at the posted 7.88, but Luke Cage rang up at 9 and change. I asked the clerk about this and she said it was because Cage was part of a 'special' collection, and didn't belong with the rest. Try as I might, I could find no difference, but rahter than probably never finding the guy again, went ahead and paid the inflated price. Anyone else notice this? I didn't get Cap, Bucky or Thor, so I don't know what they would have scanned at, but just be aware - Wally's pulling a fast one here!
  12. Oh... and Zatanna = blistering HOT!!!! She needs to be in more episodes. Actually, F it! She needs to take over the show!
  13. I saw something similar near me. The regular section (pegs, not endcap) with all PGs. There were about 20, give or take. Which meant there had to be like 10 cases of that wave put out at once? And no remnants of the other figs?
  14. Well, I am finally impressed again... Absolute Justice was so worth waiting for. Sure it could have done without the Lois/Tess BS, but other than that, I loved it!
